From the small pic it looks like just a cleaning fluid type thing and not something to remove scratches, am I right? Personally I would save the quid and use a cloth with some water!

yes, can also work with betamax and vhs, but must be done manually. Unwind it in full and with a cloth use the liquid supplied. once the full lenght is done, then rewind and the job is done. Will be same as new, good luck

brought this, its about as good as wiping the disc over with a baby wipe.

I had one of these a couple of years ago and would advise avoiding, they are useless.

It can't get rid of even light scratches and has been suggested, you'd be better off with a damp cloth or microfibre, they will do the same job. In fact, as you get frustrated that it's not doing anything, you can end up making he discs worse as the circular motion of the cleaners can scratch if there are any particles on it.

sourced from an amazon review:

here's the advice. By a tin of Brasso (which is also a mild abrasive) and clean your surfaces with that. You may need to use a bit of 'elbow grease' and it will leave faint marks, but the discs will play. Try it on something not to precious first, then you will see and gain confidence.

also try

These have mixed reviews. remember that parts of these things cost to replace so can cost more than just inital outlay. I used a hand version of a skip dr ages ago. It worked, but left a strange radial effect on the disc so it was obvious to ebay buyers i had cleaned the disc up.
