Have you seen how many batteries this thing requires? 4xAA + 3xAA!
Anyone know what the magnification is? It seems like a good deal, but ifs its just a glorified magnifying glass with a bunch of flashing LEDs...

I got mine today - some of the batteries are to light up the subject and some (I think) to warm up bacteria in some wort of incubation chamber.

[SIZE=2]It semes quite sturdy and well built, but the magnification isnt fantastic. Still, pretty good for the cash[/SIZE]

Would have been perfect for stepson, but sadly no stock at any stores near me or near grandparents either. :-(
