MISSYOU10 code doesn't seem to be working for me.

Also available from play @ £89.99 delivered.

Resistive screen :(

I wonder if tis is the same case as the scroll tablet in Maplins. No ipad beater but that one has an aluminium case and no limit in external storage. I presume this one is the disgo 6000 tablet with a firmware upgrade?

Anyone reccomend a tablet like this that has flash player and capacitive screen?
#6
Cheaper at Play.

As the OP said, 'All the above for under £95 from a high street retailer'

Looking through those review on play, they seem pretty good actually. Some complaints about the touch screen, well, it is a resistive, so it works differently, not bad, but different.
And it's under a hundred quid people! What are you expecting? No it's not an ipad beater, but for the price it seems it does a decent job...
And the 'alternative' archos mentioned above, it's over twice the bloomin' price!!

Edit: Oh, and according to the tjhughes site, it's got android 2.2, (so maybe an upgraded unit?) if this is true, then it will ahve 'proper' flash... so more of the reviewers issues are resolved...

You'll have to wait till end of May but the wait could well be worth it. There are a LOT of people waiting to get their hands on the Kogan Tablet below. For the price v specs, it blows everything else away. I can't wait to try one out.

Lot of people waiting is right. This supplier (Kogan, that is) takes orders in advance of the item becoming available, and has a history of changing the spec before delivery. Personally, I won't buy anything that the seller doesn't actually have to sell.

Put an Apple logo in int and the price goes to 200 quid and will get good reviews from fanboys.

I have the SF mate. I was using Flibblesan's Rom but recently moved over to Swedish Spring (on Flibblesan's advice!). Swedish Spring has a 'tethering' application within the rom so the answer is, YES but it 'may' depend on what rom you're using. If you don't want to use Swedish Spring (you'd be mad not too mind as it's the best/fastest rom I've seen on the SF), then you could try Barnacle Wifi Tether which is available at the Market.

It wouldn't get good review as such, more, it would provoke the fanboys to criticise any negative comments directed at it as jealousy and being too poor to own one...

I would definitely go for a Capacitive Screen. After having a ZTE Light (v9) 3G, with Resistive screen (thinking it would be similar to my ZTE / San Fran) I sold it and bought a Galaxy Tab 3G. Difference in price is a bit but the quality and upgradeability is miles better. Light uses 2.1 (only and fixed), which meant on board memory ran out easily. They are cheap but then you get what you pay for.

Cheers 4 that i might just try that rom, iam currently using modaco's rom which is ok, also when i asked about tethering, i mean what connections /cables do i need to connect between Kogan and sf. i wud need a mini usb to mini usb or am i wrong? ta
#22
The tethering would be over wifi, so no cables would be required?

I have to say I have a Samsung Galaxy S and the Tab both with capacative screens and the best screen for sensivity and responsiveness............is on my Tomtom XXL which is resistive!

With Capacitive you can 'swipe' through home screens and application screens very easily.

With Resistive you can still do the above but it tends not to be as responsive. However, one advantage of a Resistive Screen is when you want to write and/or draw on the screen. A resistive screen will give a much more accurate interpretation of your input. But not many people use tablets for writing on (which seems strange really considering how portable a tablet is).

Appears to have gone to £99 pounds and the 10 % code doesn't seem to work...shame.

Yes but wud i be able to connect wireless using my orange sf handset as the source of the internet connection ie to get internet on the Kogan from the sf, wud this work wireless? ta
#27
Yes you could.

Your orange sf would be a wifi hotspot. you'd open wifi on your tablet and find Joe bloggs orange sf and click connect and then all data would come via your orange sf
