This is the sort of thing I have been waiting for in a netbook in terms of price - will it deliver me decent surfing and kids flash games with no hassles?

Seriously mate, either wait a while for prices of actual netbooks to drop or go buy a phone. This thing is useless.

Cheers - the processor and ram do seem a little on the "lite" side. What will this thing do then? And whats the point of dropping nearly a tonne on it? ("none whatsoever" would be your obvious reply - but does anyone use similar specced netbooks?

"....sports a 7-inch screen - plenty for comfortable web-surfing"

7" screens are useable enough, comfortable isn't a word I would use to describe the experience. Not a bad price though for what it is, so heat from me

Doesn't have flash... So that sorts of shoots it.

I tried one of these recently - they are fine for typing up simple documents on the go, a bit of very simple image viewing & other very low tech uses.
The browser is pretty apalling though - think mid 90's Netscape Navigator Internet - it's like going back in time to the birth of the internet...

I think £89.99 is too much really for such low tech. Sainsbury's are doing these for £79.99 now & I saw something very similar at the gadget show for £60.
If they were £50 I might go for one as a bit of fun & actually might be useful writing up notes on a train etc....

+1......Mate bought one for his 10yo utter rubbish save up and spend more on a decent spec netbook or laptop because these things are seriously underpowered for even the most basic tasks.

I have no experience of using this, but have read lots of bad review. Plus my phone has better specs than this (apart from screen obviously) and no flash makes this thing pretty useless for letting kids use it for games etc. Just steer away from this and get a second hand netbook.

I laughed when I saw this!

HMV sold this before the new year - it was discontinued due to all the problems that these devices had. Both of my brothers had one, and one just stopped working one day - and the other loads of components were falling out of the power socket.

DSGi must have got these peices of crap really cheap - yet still, I'd thought they'd do their reasearch. Maplin used to sell a similar product with twice the RAM and HDD for under £70.

Have a look on eBay, where you'll find the same product (probably from china or hong kong) for £50! But, don't get one - please.
