Use code GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN Released 12th October

I played this at Eurogamer and was really surprised how good it was

Revenge Solves Everything™

Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Creatively eliminate your targets with the flexible combat system as you combine the numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. Regardless of your actions, the outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.

Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where strange technology and otherworldly mysticism coexist in the shadows. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is being besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with neo-industrial technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man – but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever.

Great price, looking forward to this game!

Gooner, how would you describe it? What's it like to play? Do you think the Bioshock comparison is fair?
#2

Yep would say its bioshock but for me felt better and more gripping :)

Went to the dev session on this at Eurogamer and all I can say is that this has left Bioshock in the dust for now. I really hope it plays as smoothly on a PS3 as the 360 demo did.
#5
don't how true it is but heard PC was the lead platform for this, which if true makes a nice change

The dev's did the demo on a 360, so doubt that's true or they'd have got a good PC in. Wouldn't have been too hard.

Cancelled my order at simply games for this... thanks a lot OP

I've been looking forward to this game since I stumbled upon it in the Steam store a couple of months ago.

I watch all the dev talks and videos to do with it, I'm really excited about it.

I especially like that you can apparently complete the entire game without killing anyone. Don't get me wrong, I like the gameplay, but to have that freedom of choice will be fun.

Heat added for the deal :)

There was a question at the expo which was quite interesting, actually. The devs stressed how much freedom there is in the game then someone stood up and asked if all that freedom allowed for us to change the ending. All they said was they had a sequel planned. Promising news.

Hmmmm, to bite at this price, or will it be cheaper in the next 12 days?

I'm the same, but my thinking is the code is valid until the 8th and it's unlikely to go up in price on GMG. In that time other deals could surface or GMG might drop the price a little. They could run out of keys I guess, but if it didn't happen with Borderlands 2 for example, I doubt it will happen here. So I think I will wait a few days.

i was at Eurogamer on Friday, and the 360 build they were using was silky smooth... I too hope the PS3 version is as good, as that's the version i want to own (I'm slightly concerned there has been zero footage of it running on PS3 - but it is an UE3 game, so should be fine).

and risk your account being banned

I guess I could risk my account being banned but I have being using them for 3 years and not a single ban or key being rejected.
#18
I've heard stories of bannings so I would be cautious, plus it is written in the eula to not do so

That is why you only buy REGION FREE games.
I don't use the ones you have to use a VPN that would be stupid.

Even though Black Ops 2 for £10 is a bargain, but wouldn't risk getting that as don't want my account banned.

Deus/bioshock-esqe then. Good find op

Bit of a bummer that you don't get the code straight away - you get free stuff on Steam if you pre-order it (TF2 items and Arx Fatalis).

Well yeah but that's the incentives, so you just have to consider if Arx Fatalis and those TF2 items are worth the extra £7.50 for you.
#24
A lot of places have pre-order exclusives for this, does GMG have one?
#25
GMG seems to offer very different prices for UK and Eur countries.
Browsing from italy the site just shows the ur price (49.99 eur, a fairly overpriced change from 29.99 gbp)

using a UK proxy seems to solve the issue, though
BUT, is the UK version of the game "multilanguage" ??

GMG confounds a bit further listing either the title as "Disonhored" (uk page) and "Dishonored (EU)" for euro page
#26
Will it not work out cheaper ordering the DVD version from Green Man Gaming - it's £24.99 so with the code will be £18.74

Or is the code only for downloads?
#27
Answer to my question is "no". Code only applies to the download version.
#28
Thanks, hope the activation key comes earlier than release date for pre load!
#29
The EU version will contain loads of languages.
The UK Version will prob contain just English, French and Spanish.

The Russian version I purchased for £9 contains just English and Russian.

Can anyone link to this £9 Russian version please? Would be interested in looking into it.
#31
Where on earth did you get it from for £9? All the Russian sites I've seen are at least £20.

And when do GMG send out their codes? I really want to preload this so I can play it as soon as it unlocks.

I just emailed them asking if they would send the codes out early to allow pre-load on steam, but no dice. Here's hoping it's not a huge download file.

Install details on Steam say it needs 9gb of hard drive space, so that's your maximum download size. I expect it will be 5-8gb to download.

Best pre-order bonuses are from GAME. Even the devs agreed.
#35
Cheers OP, i went for this over buying it for the Xbox.

I was expecting some brilliant edition, but all I saw was an edition with a pack of tarot cards and some crappy in game bonuses which will most likely be unlockable by fiddling with a few files, even two of the things are stuff that can already be gained. The coins and bone charm slot AND it costs 37.99 on PC that's an awful deal in my opinion. also i think there is a different motive behind the devs agreement as it being good, more likely to do with money

Actually the demo at Eurogamer was done on the PC, they just used a Razer Onza to manouver around. Either way the game looked fantastic and the way you can be creative with the powers is a nice little twist to the typical genre.

I would also love to know this if someone is willing to share.

The cheapest Russian key I have found for this so far is around £17.

The EU version of this may be heavily edited for Germany that's why, it happens with some of the more violent titles. The Russian and UK versions will be the same as the American one though.
