The cars figures will work, but to play the cars playset you'll need the first game.

Can someone tell me these webcodes you get with the starter set, single figures and play sets am I right in saying if just playing on the 360 for example you don't need them and can sell them for couple of £ for tablet users etc?

You don't need them it's to activate PC/iPad version equivalent characters for free

To add to the above, if you place the cars playset down on the base it'll unlock all the toys from that playset into the toy box. You just can't go into the playset but can place for example Flo's V8 Cafe in the toy box :) So it isn't entirely useless

yes you can use the old characters on the new game but you can't use the new characters on the old game. hope that makes sense.

Yes you can play just with play set piece and Spider-Man and sell the other figure.

thank you for your comments! I have no idea but I love the look of disney infinity for my son( and me!) is the toy box part of the game where the child can just kind of do what they want with figures they choose? does it become boring? thank you!

As far as I understand you can design your own world like Minecraft and also play mini games although I'm not sure how these activate - power discs or character based. Not played it yet as it's for Christmas :)

Any chance someone who voted cold could give me the heads up where to get this cheaper. Thanks. I've had notification of 34 hot votes but only at 56 degrees. Cheers

My two girls love the Toybox option - they have just turned 6 but played the first version and now the Marvel one. The toybox just offers the ability to build themed worlds for all the characters to interact in. Being disney there are loads of familiar elements - Disneyland castle for example - to add. When you use the characters in the playsets and in the toybox they earn stars which can be used to buy more items to place in their virtual worlds. Specific characters also unlock specific items - so it you buy Wreck it Ralph his figure unlocks the nice landers building from the film to place in your world.

Hope that helps those new to Infinity - takes a bit of time to get to grips with - but really creative for kids and is a first introduction into real gaming for my two.

Yes that's right. It can be played out of the box. Google Disney infinity 2.0 as some people have written some useful info about which characters can play in which play sets as apart from the obviously Avenger characters can play in avenger games there are some cross over coins that can be collected for certain characters ie Rocket Raccoon can play in Avengers once another avengers character has collected 10 cross over coins for him... If that makes any sense then I'm surprised!
