It wouldn't be a Disney film if it didn't result in a slew of video game spin-offs, would it? Not wanting to disappoint, Disney Interactive Studios has brought us Disney Pictures Presents Meet the Robinsons.
Crazy time travel is the name of the game here. That nasty Bowler Hat Guy and his equally sinister robotic hat Doris are making their way through time, changing the past and messing with the future. The job of stopping them falls to Wilbur Robinson, as he dodges through time, doing everything he can to outmanoeuvre them.
The game takes players beyond the movie, expanding the film's plot by exploring alternate futures created by the Bowler Hat Guy's machinations. This leads to the creation of two all-new villains, exclusive to the game.
The game takes you on a whirlwind tour of time, throwing in new worlds such as Ancient Egypt and crazy gadgets like the Protectosphere. Also on offer, of course, are favourites from the movie such as the Science Fair. You'll need to use Wilbur's gadgets in crafty ways as you solve puzzles and complete missions to stop time being permanently messed up.
Sure, time travel can mess with your head and confuse you until you don't know what's the past and what's future, but our advice is not to worry about it and go with the flow. If you keep your wits about you and your reactions sharp, it'll all come together in the end.

It looks alright actually, could be fun. I'd consider getting the Wii version, but I'm just not sure.

Amazon review for the 360 version....

"Meet the Robinsons is - quite simply - a movie/game. The gameplay is basic, but it takes inspiration from better titles out there, and it all works well. The license is the primary focus of the title (obviously), so you'll spend just as much time living in the world, interacting with the characters, and watching movie-inspired cuts-scenes as you will engaged in the gameplay, but that's part of what makes it work. It has the overall look of the film, the original voice actors make an appearance, and as an extension to the movie it's a fine choice for younger gamers or families. There's very little true innovation in the design, but a mix of entertaining gadgets keeps the experience from becoming mundane. All in all Meet the Robinsons is a solid effort, lacking some of the overall polish of games with a higher budget and longer development time, but it fulfills its goal of tying the film world to an interactive medium"

say 2 just because its a bit of a pain without a guide at this point. You can't replay levels, and the autosave kills multiple saves, so if you miss something, you'll have to play the game again to get it. I went 770/1000 in about 8 hours, but I'll play through this again in a few months to finish it off. Once the guide come out, it goes to a difficulty 1.

Besides some issues with the target lock camera, the game was actually enjoyable. A decent platformer that was much better than the previous Disney games (Cars).

When a guide comes out and your sure you won't miss anything in your first go-through, this will be a more enjoyable waste of time boosting Gamerscore than most other easy point games.
