I've been looking out for a Wii Microphone for an xmas prezzie. The cheapest I can find is £13-14 (apart from Zavvi/TheHut, who I've had an order with for a mic for over a month and have just found out they don't have it in stock). At amazon you can get the microphone with Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3 - Senior Year.

I'm possibly going to sell the game on as I suspect that she already has it.

Still a great price for a Mic and Game bundle.

This package is £44 at Asda so seems very good deal, but if someone is looking for Wii mics only they have a 2 pack of compatible gaming mics at Asda for £10 or 2 for £15 i.e. 4 mics £15,this is where we got ours to go with U Sing game.

Just what I needed, thank you :D

Thanks for the info thrifty :) How do you connect 4 mics to a Wii? Using a hub?

A pity I didn't see it. I've been faffing about with Zavvi for over a month. I'd have bought this if I'd have seen it. I can probably get £8-9 for the game, so it's a mic for £4-5. Did anyone give any other suggestions of where you could get it cheaper or was it avid haters of Disney High School Musical? :)

You're welcome :) I'm happy to know that it's of use to someone :)

They are linked by the USB by a splitter connector(2 mics into 1 splitter), 1 splitter into each port (at rear of console) Wii has 2 so you can use 4 mics at a time, hope this helps.

Ah, I've seen that setup. Don't the mics going into the splitter get seen as the same mic though?

Not according to the box but I may be wrong I will have to look into that,as I read it you can have 4 players but it may be 2 duets head to head.
May have to return as only got as extras to the U Sing, but have heard and read reviews that they may work with a 4 port hub so fingers crossed.

I've done quite a lot of digging but haven't tested it yet. All of the amazon reviews for mic sets that use splitters say that they're recognised as 1 mic. I've also sent questions to a multitude of ebay sellers and they have all replied saying that they are recognised as one mic.

The We Sing 2x mic pack comes with a usb hub and apparently can be used to play 4 players properly. I've looked into reviews of the hub and by all accounts it looks like just a standard usb hub that you could use on a PC and therefore be able to pick up for a quid or two.

I hope this helps :)

Gamestation had U-Sing with microphone (pre-owned) for 14.99, then sell the game on ebay to more or less cover your costs.
