great find reserved one voted hot

just ordered one
thanks

This has been 9.99 for quite a while so it is not quite that huge a reduction, and I think it's only the speaker dock so you need other things to make it useful

Voted hot and ordered 2. I plan to use them as funky speakers for my kids PCs. You shouldn't need anything extra as they have a plug to accept other audio devices.

great find, just reserved one, it looks like the plug at the bottom of the stand would simply go into the headphone socket of any mp3 player or other audio device. will check it out when i go to collect in a bit

Correct me if I'm wrong basically these are speakers with lights that flash when something is playing?
#15
Great find, thank you. Just ordered one for my son, he'll love it!
#16
Some dreadful review on Amazon.com, would appreciate an update if someone does collect. Apparently sound quality is dreadful. Great price and find though so I'm voting hot but just thought I'd let people know.

Excellent find! Thanks OP

This looks like a true bargain  but key question for me: can I use it to connect and play music from an Ipod?:?
#19
Just picked up two of these for my little girls. The sound quality and volume is fine - its not going to rival a BOSE system but then again my 7 year old just wants flashing lights and a disney logo. I have it plugged into an iPod shuffle at the moment but am tempted to get the disney mix sticks as they dock neatly in place.

I am sure the reviews aren't great if someone has paid £49.99 for these - but for £2.99 it is pretty incredible. I am 30ft down the other side of the house and can hear this thing playing from my daughters bedroom and it sounds fine. Voted Hot!

Heat added! - Many thanks.
#21
just ordered mine from torquay.voted hot
#22
thanks! just picked up two. sound quality is clearer than i thought it would be. im in the lounge and i can hear the lyrics clearly through a brick wall. they come with a small 3.5mm jack extension so you can plug pretty much anything into them- cd players, other mp3s, anything that has a standard headphone socket. great for the kids rooms- voted hot!

Hi there brought this just before christmas from pc world at the £9.99 price still a good buy at that price. the mp3 player was £19.99 from curry's and they do princess, pirates of the carribean and another one my daughter loves it.

Basically a MP3 docking station:
The Jam Stand speaker lets you keep the music going from your MP3 Player (not included). When your MP3 player needs recharging, just pop it in the Jam Stand speaker - it charges your batteries while playing music. The Jam Stand features sleek, chrome styling and produces Hi-Fi sound from 2 x 30mm full-range drivers.Decorative lights adorn the speaker station, which light up in different colors for a dazzling display. Operates using the included AC adapter.

:thumbsup:nice find ordered one

Well I got 2 of these and have hooked one up to my sony ericsson W850I phone and my PSP and, no, they are not bose (as earlier mentioned) but more than acceptable sound quality at the price.....I love a bargain!!!
#27
I grabbed 2 from London - it's bit smaller than I thought (about the hight of a disposable pen?). Sound is clear when connected to my ipod Classsic.
They only had white, which I think might be a give away when it's advertised as 'Disney White Jam Stand' (I'd never heard of a Jam Stand until now). It was a tight fit when I plopped my bulky 160gb ipod on it, but then I noticed comes with small male-female mini extension to overcome this problem.
Definitely worth 3quid - I can use it at work, garage or backyard (in the summer!)

HOT

(edit) yes, it does light up as the volume increases - not in sync to sound frequencies, though (it's only £3!)

Gosh I must be getting old when I see Jam stand I thought it meant a stand for a jam pot!!!

I have an old 80gb ipod video... and the child in me wants on of these. Can anyone who's collected it let me know if it will fit?
#30
Just picked up one at Hedge End, the girl behind the counter was amazed that I only bought one. Guess a lot of Fleabayers have jumped onto this:x

Plugged it into my Sony MP3 player and the sound quality is not bad (especially for £3).
#31
Have ordered mine from PCworld as its in stock there and its location is better for me.
#32
:thumbsup:voted hot got 2 on order, not sure why yet
#33
bought it with the disney mp3 player £22.98 great deal, well worth the money and any mp3/ipod will play on it. the docking stand is £20 on amazon
#34
Picked one up today and they had a stack behind the counter that had been reserved - they had a stock of 23 yesterday and now none left !! Good find OP !
#35
Just collected my 2 in Chesterfield Currys and they are excelent value for money!

Description 'Hi-Fi Stereo Sound'

This does not produce High Fidelity Sound. It produces sound like a cheap transistor radio. As for stereo, the speakers are so close together, you wouldn't know if it was stereo or not. OK for three quid - anyone paying the full MRRP has been robbed.
#37
These are the same price in PC World - stock at Junction 9 Wednesfield and Selly Oak Birmingham!
#38
I have just reserved one. will adapt it for my iPod nano, gotta be better than the last one which was from poundland

EDIT: just reserved another one for my brother, that's his birthday sorted :-D

hey greyskittles my sister has just collected one of these and i'm afraid that my 30gb u2 ipod video doesnt stand in the dock but you can attach it via the cable provided. sound quality is reasonable, especially for £3
