Really struggling with when a good time to go is. can anyone advise please? Originally I was looking at Easter 2018, but this doesn't give the free dining plan. So now I'm thinking second half of August 2018 instead. There is 3 of us, 2 adults and a 13 year old. Has to be in school holidays and really we only have about £5000 to do this. It doesn't seem worth it if we go May half term as will only be for 9 nights, is that long enough?
Is it too risky to go the end of August with hurricane season?
Thanks for any help.
Iv ebeen to wdw about 7 times and these prices are increased to cover dining and no way is it worth the amount they state. Generally you pay the same for the room if one or 4 people are staying in it and that's why i would book the room seperate. I would suggest looking at the thomson website as they have some brilliant deals or book the flights and hotel seperate yourself. There is no advantage through booking the hotel with disney.

I'd recommend to stay at pop century as it offers the best value for the cash. You can get a parcel of food delivered to your room via amazon. I usually get cereal and snacks as it will save you a fortune throughout your stay. You can get a refillable mug for $15 which allows unlimited soft drinks at any disney hotel but not the parks.

I wouldn't worry about the weather as its either ridiculously hot or raining for most of the year. August will be very hot and start getting extremely humid in the latter half. April may is a good time to go as is November. As for the amount of time, i'd say 14 days if you can. Even then you wont get to see and do everything because there is so much. You can see the rest on future trips :)

We have just booked up go to The Caribbean Beach Resort next year. We got this dining plan for 2400 or so for five of us for next year... problem is there is work due to start may 2017, BUT they promise they will stop between 9am and 9pm.. so in my opinion I thought it was good because we don't plan to stay on resort all 14 days. Wake up have breakfast and go out for the day ha

Better than cashback is to NOT book direct with Disney but via an agent /specialist who will cost it at the same price (possibly cheaper if you are doing flights too as they tend not to mark flights up so much) and get them to split their commission with you. Typically 5% is achievable so better than cashback and no chasing up.
Also the value hotels don't have the dining plan free available but the moderates do but if you cost a value with the dining plan against the moderates that include it for free there's very little difference in price so a moderate may work out better value if you want the quick service included.

Good value for a family in one room, with just two in a room not so much.
Thanks OP, the most expensive "Hot Deal" to date, hopefully wont regret it. Oh and Quidco tracked at 4% cashback - £180 will cover the deposit. Now in full saving mode to save to pay off the balance in May 2018 for holiday in July 2018 hopefully wont die from heat stroke. Any advice on booking flights, most likely will be BA?

Brilliant! thanks OP
November only :-(
macleanie
Im in London next week and was thinking about going to see this. Had a look on the London Theatre website but prices seem to be the same. Im guessing the cheaper rates are for the further future?

I have my tickets for 1st November. There was a good choice of seats with that price around that dates.
If i could some at Manchester, that will be awesome!

i went too see it last year at the palace theatre in Manchester. i had front row seats and to this day i will never know how i got the tickets for 20 pounds each... directly from their ticket office!!!... great musical though :D

first few rows would be classed as 'restricted view' I think (hence cheaper price band) - even though sometimes you can get a great seat

it was a fab seat and a fab view. so impressed. but I had to ask the couple sat next to me how much they paid. they said 45 pounds each.

thanks OP, have just been going through dvds and blu rays entering the codes on the little leaflets, annoyingly you need the bar code as well as leaflet so don't get all the leaflets, put them in a nice pile, then put all the discs back on the shelf. the leaflet doesn't have to match the disc so it's not too annoying.

what is also annoying, is that I've got 450 points left, but don't want anything less than 500 :(
I am 100 points short of getting a dvd anyone know where i can find free points
i used to hammer this with a sneaky loophole. blockbuster video i owe you big time. used to go in and the display cases for rentals had the codes left inside. must have got over 30 blu rays in 3 months through my little hack. oh how i miss you BB :(
What's really frustrating is that in America it's still going & FAR better! you can get all sorts, not just dvds. plus you get points for every disney film you see in the cinema.

It's sad that disney fans outside the USA aren't treat the same. I knew they were going to close it down years ago because they started not putting the codes inside dvds (saying it was a mistake if you contacted them) & the dvds avaliable never got updated for over a year. they denied they were closing it down of course
Had in excess of 70 codes, having bought every steelbook disney released in bluray format, aswell a dvd's from years ago. Each dvd/bluray is worth a different amount of points, based on normal/special edition/diamond edition etc etc. Disappointed they are stopping this service. Already owned everything they sell in one format or another, so I just used the points to get stuff and sell it on ebay. Unfortunately they have greatly reduced the available stuff to claim, so it literally is scraps on there now. Hot for the post though OP.

We prefer (as a couple) to book through the US site when the room discounts come up, as we're not big eaters. This is probably the best option for families, though.

How do you order through the US site? We don't really want the dining, so would this work out best or do we have to wait for their offers?

Here I was already to book this when the o/h said we should also go to Universal!!
Is it all do-able in a fortnight with first timers?
Is this deal still as good when I need to book additional Universal tickets & lastly where's best to book universal tickets? Thanks again
The deal isn't as good if you go to Universal as there is so much to do at Disney World you may find that 2 weeks isn't enough. You can choose to do whatever you want when you are there though. Nothing stopping you going to Universal but every day there is one less at Disney World. In my mind it is a separate holiday but choice is yours. Only real issue is I don't think you can pre-book Universal tickets for 2017 yet, correct me if I am wrong. http://www.universal-bookings.co.uk/park.html
No, you're right about universal tickets for 2017.
Am I right in thinking on the days we do universal we could have free breakfast & dinner at hotel (New Orleans Port) ?
Do you believe there would be a cheaper way to do this if we include universal?
You are correct. It is not a use or lose program. All of your food vouchers are credited to you on arrival. How you choose to use them over the course of your stay is upto you. If you choose not to eat one day or only have one meal. the vouchers you don't use will not be lost and will carry on for the rest of your stay. Some (fancier) restaurants require more vouchers for one waiter service so you may go away to Universal (or not eat as much) and then have unused vouchers you can use to eat at a fancy restaurant instead or get more snacks and self service meals.

eg. You get 2 self service meals and 2 snacks a day that come with your choice of hotel, they can be used for self service breakfast, lunch or dinner. You may decide to get a snack for breakfast, have a snack for lunch and use your 2 self service vouchers for 1 table service meal or get Self service breakfast couple of snacks in the day and self service main meal later on.

2 self service meals X 14 days = 28 meals over the course of 2 weeks. Chances are the last day and first day of arrival you will already be up vouchers due to not needing breakfast or dinner when you arrive and leave.

If you used Self Service 28 times on your first day and ate 28 snacks you're screwed and so is anyone else who gets on a ride with you that day. :D

I wouldn't know about getting Universal cheap, I would probably scout this site and their website from 6 months before leaving, you could call them and ask about any annual offers they may have. You may even find better deals within the US such as 2 for 1 entry etc, so check ebay for people selling their canceled holiday tickets or coupons but be sure they are genuine first with good feedback. You can try travel agents, sometimes they have deals but know the door prices to not be ripped off. Also order a free brochure to wet your appetite while you wait lol

I checked and flights are not out yet for April/May next year. Do folks book flights after?
Also, this would be the first time bringing young kids of nearly 5 and 2 and a half (next year), are pros/cons to staying in a disney resort versus a villa or gated community? Any recommendtions for a disney hotel?
Thanks
Flights for Virgin, BA etc usually appear 11 months prior, you should be able to look at Thomson and Thomas Cook now though if they have availability, be aware Thomson fly into Sanford rather than MCO if you want the magical express transport you'll need MCO airport.
If you stay onsite you can effectively not bother with a car and just use the free site buses, boats etc. Offsite you'll probably want a car to enjoy it fully, but it can be done without providing the hotel provides park buses etc.
Onsite you'll get extra hours in the park, free parking and can charge purchases to your room etc rather than carry cash around.
I would say if you have young kids you'll probably enjoy being in the "Disney bubble" of being onsite more than offsite, they know how to do hospitality well, especially with young kids.
As for fave hotel, we like Port Orleans Riverside, it looks great and is not too in your face Disney as say Pop Century etc. Animal Kingdom is great too if you want to push the boat out - there's nothing like waking up and seeing a Giraffe outside your balcony :)
I would highly recommend visiting a uk site called "thedibb.co.uk" it answers pretty much anything you'll ever want to know about visiting Disney.
I just wish they had rooms that didn't cost the earth where the kids beds were at least round the corner/behind a curtain. My kids usually go to bed at 7 and all sleeping on one big hotel room is a total pain in that regard. Or have I missed something?
In bed for 7pm would be quite a shame for a holiday like this , the fireworks / evening displays are out of this world. Could the little ones not sleep in their push chairs whilst you are in the parks during the evening ?
That's what we did with our little ones and funny enough they didn't want to shut their eyes ... even at 9pm ! lol
It is difficult I know when they are young , we were lucky enough to go for 4 weeks so we could have plenty of 'rest' days but if I were doing it again and could only take 2 weeks off work then I'd definitely look at on-site Disney hotels.
You don't want to be wasting any time with car parking , you get early access to the parks and there is plenty of magic for the little ones.

Couldn't agree more, the Disney shows/fireworks are something else, it would be a crying shame to have your kids in bed during this type of thing ;)
http://youtu.be/ffyPQjHhhvs

I also refuse to share a room for two weeks with the little devils, would drive us and them mad. Thankfully was able to stretch to a 1 bed Villa at Key West in August 17 that will mean they can sleep in the bedroom and we can take the sofa bed. Already ticking off the days :)

This seems to differ from the iTunes and Amazon listing, in terms of track titles and track lengths. They seem to be edited versions of the tracks.
For example, Track 6, 14 and 15 are all 1:35 long in the above links.
10 of the tracks are less than 2 minutes long and in the iTunes/Amazon track listing only 3 tracks are less than 2 mins.
That would suggest that these are all just samples of the tracks, not the full tracks.

Get yourself a NowTV box, we have the moves for £4.99 a month and you get 1000s movies on demand includes over 100 Disney movies, plus Disney channel and Nicklelodeon / NickJr

I have been looking for movies for 4.99, it comes to 6.99 now? How do I get 4.99?

The best way I have found with NowTV is to either use a pass for 1-2 months (that come with the boxes) or subscribe at full price for 1 month and cancel before it renews. You should then be offered half price for at least 4 months giving you full access to all on demand movies and the live movie channels for £4.99

Edit: I get the same message from my iPhone. Maybe it has to be a US iTunes account?

Bought it, thanks for posting.
Great for the PC edition. Hot!
I know it's Digital versions only for the PC game but for anyone that plays it this seems like a good deal.

I'm getting these weekly don't even need to say the phrase in South Gyle Edinburgh. They don't have it organised well they just show you the complete and ask which ones you want, lol
I looked ridiculous but I'm glad to say it worked! Well chuffed!

Why did I get a notification for this? On the Lightning thing?. Weird
Do you have any alerts set up for key words? Like Star Wars or Disney? It's either that or you accidentally 'followed' me? It will be something set up in your profile. :)
