Great deal for both games along with the turntable. I've been waiting for a cheap DJH2 deal so I could pick up 1 for peanuts, but this will do.

Is this anything to do with the fact the franchise has been killed and there will be no more DLC

RIP Guitar Hero, Band Hero and DJ Hero
#4
Course it has to do with that, but could be good rather than bad..... these two disks contain about 120+ mixes which is more than enough for me. The existing dlc stands, so its a win for me!!

#6
Must be because Activision are discontinuing Guitar Hero and DJ Hero.

There were like, less than 5 DLCs for both games combined.

I'm pretty sure it's more of a coincidence. Saying there's not gonna be a sequel hasn't affected game prices before.

Same price at Game and Gamestation websites, too. Handy for those with points to redeem.
#12
Good find. Guess retailers are clearing up stock after the news of the game's death.
#13
RIP GH and DJH, just so they can concentrate on CoD pffffft, surely that's gone stale too now??

I think that they are stopping it, because they can't really do a lot more to it now.
Really, the only thing that they could do is allow people to use their own songs as songs in the game, but that would mean there would be no point in bringing out Dlc, so they'd be losing a lot of potential income.
The main reason why they've stopped it, is probably because they have decided they can't earn much more money on it now.

Great price but as OP said - 120+ mixes not including existing DLC and the last DLC due end of Feb !!

I think they could have made this better...firstly by having two turntables where you mix between them...you choose the tune that goes on each turntable on the software screen....
along with some effects etc....right now i dont really get the dj experience....

having said that though my son thinks its the shiznit.....the renegade version also looks smart with the carycase and the tunes are great....i think its a design classic

That would of been a very good idea, more closer to the actual Djing experience if i'm right?
I haven't played a full song on Dj hero, not really my thing, but that is a very good idea.
Like with Rock Band 3, they're supposed to be bringing out that 'Real guitar' which is exactly like a real guitar which can be used in Rock Band and real life too (But you have to pay $40 for it to work in real life) and it costs £200....

I know its easier after the fact...but im surprised that they didn't make it that way as the got z trip, dj shadow and host of people involved to work on it...they surely asked that question...but it would have been a great development for say dj hero 2 ..instead of just a mic and software...that guitar idea sounds good I'd consider it if it were of good quaity and it could be used seperately...it could also be a great way for a younger person to learn also..I#ve spent lots on my sons lessons and all he can play is "smoke on the water" and 3 blind mice...

Yeah, with all the help from them, you'd expect that they'd make it closer to the actual experience, like with the real guitar i just said earlier. They could of done quite a bit more, like adding another turntable like you said, but now we'll just have to make do without any more Dj hero / Guitar hero games :( The guitar is being made by 'Fender' the people who make the actual guitars, its a BestBuy exclusive in america, but i managed to find a UK site which sells it for £199.99 (Due out 24th April) Considering that you can buy Guitar starter packs on eBay for around £100, with most of the things you need (I had a look quite some time ago, as i wanted to buy a guitar then) It needs to be off decent quality, as Rock Band is a game for Teenagers really, who might find £200 a bit steep. I was originally thinking about purchasing the guitar for like you said, to learn starting to play the guitar. There is also Dlc songs for Rock Band 3, which are made for the real guitar and tutorials are supposed to be included too. Hmmm.... The guitar with the Rock Band tutorial might be of some use to your son. Here's the link to the official site: http://www.fender.com/promos/2010/rockband3

Deal is still on at Game/Gameplay/Gamestation. Fantastic deal, even if only just to pick one or two up until things calm down with the prices and can sell for a small profit, since it'll end up rare at some point.

lol, I would if I were you.... But not sure what will happen if they find out. When I used to work for Gameplay, there was little (no) chance that you would be found out under the circumstances.

I received DJH 1&2 and I am loving them!!! Follow me on Twitter so see just how much lol.
