Hi everyone, this is my first deal and I just searched on the site but couldn't find any signs of this deal already having been posted so here goes... Apparently, as part of their 10-year anniversa…

Double the price of the Standard but not twice as good Shirley? 8)
Posted these videos on the other dji deal but may as well post them here to.
These are some videos taken on my phantom 3 standard,I'm well chuffed with the results. As you can see it's very stable and video quality is very good,I'd recommend the standard to anybody.http://youtu.be/nTwGH1dVGeAhttp://youtu.be/1xmH6g_YQds
Oh those are really nice videos, looks like a lovely place for a day out. I don't suppose you know how many satellites your Standard tends to get locked onto, also do you get any swaying about when trying to stay completely still in a hover for a while?
I've only flown it 3 times so far and each time I've had 10 satellites.
When it's not too windy the footage is perfectly still,to the point it looks more like a cctv camera on a pole.
The videos I posted were taken on quite a windy day,if you look in the background you will see how bad it was by the flag on top of the church.
I think it would have to be seriously windy out for it to affect the drone in a big way as it is soooo stable.
Sounds like a fairly strong vote of confidence for the Standard there. I was all set to take the plunge with the Professional as well. I'll have to take the weekend to think some more on Profession or Standard. Maybe it might even be worth me waiting to see if the rumours of Phantom 4 announcement are true on 1st March before making a decision.

For me the 2.7k camera is more than good enough on the standard and whilst the other models can fly further I have seen proof people flying completely standard, phantom 3 standards to over 1.5 miles.

You can extend the range by fitting what's called a windsurfer which costs about £4-£5 on eBay,and they can add 30-40% on the range.

For me the distance the standard can fly is more than enough as it will be used on holidays abroad for taking videos and photos of me and family on the beach and pool and so on,so don't need a massive range for that.

£850 from slrhut.
I suspect that the pro version is only really value for serious photographers etc - it's camera is even better than the standard version.
