Brilliant...I loved this game when I first came out.
Ahh nostalgia..not as good as it used to be.

As I posted in the other thread:

It's still definitely worth this price, but it'd be much better if they just had Unreal, Return to Na Pali, Unreal Tournament, and bunch of the best single player mods that are available. Seven Bullets, Xidia Gold, et cetera. Generation one is so much better than the later stuff.:D

I paid a small fortune for an additional 3dfx(?) card to enhance the graphics rendering. Do modern graphics cards do this with ease now?
Yes, they do. This was proper 'back in the day', when having two Voodoo 2 12MB cards running side by side made you a gaming god.:p

It'd be worth checking under 'Links and Files' here to ensure you're running the best patches / enhancements for the earlier games. Have fun!:D

xmp was underrated. i haven't played it in years due to empty servers but its still one of my favourite multiplayers.

I remember of this era the Voodoo cards where the biggest out there! Completely vanished as a company now, shame :(

Yeah, i'm going all misty eyed over 3dfx now as well LOL. I remember seeing the racing game Screamer for the first time - couldn't believe the difference between the 3DFX version and good old fashioned SVGA mode lol

Unreal is in my top 3 FPS of all time. Unreal is massive and in my opinion it still looks great - I had a Guillemot Voodoo Banshee around this time and the game looked stunning.

For £5... Hot

2. UNREAL TOURNAMENT (GOTY edition) (5-stars)
Based on the same engine as the original, this was the very first standalone Tournament game. Although its graphics may not appeal today to everyone, it is great fun and its numerous gameplay options together with the dozens available (free) MODs make this yet another classic masterpiece

Agreed fantastic game -

Great deal though the only one I haven't got is Unreal II. I still occasionally play UT 2004 offline, usually Assault or Capture the Flag. I remember playing the original UT for many hours when it first came out in 1999 and eventually winning all the tournaments except I could never quite defeat Xan in the final deathmatch contest which could last ages.
