The £15.50 one looks good. Shame internet not included. Still at £21.50 - voucher - cashback should be decent.

See second post, can add internet for £3 - 10, the £20.50 one is the best, £3.71 a month after all cashback.

Just read that - if I wasn't already in a contract until June I'd snap this up!
#3
i took my simplicity contract last month, do you think i should claim the voucher?
#4
i might as well go for this one as my contract just ended.. but still confused over giffgaff .. but even if i take the £ 6.00 data with this.. it is only coming to 9.71 a month after cash back ... still cheaper that £ 10 giffgaff and more minutes.. i know but 500 mb data sufficient for my HTC desire ? mhhh .
#5
Tariff £20.50 / month
O2 simplicity 900 12 month 12 months -£50 voucher-£151.5 cash back =£3.71 a month !
hot! add Data Allowance £6 for 500mb per month =£9.71 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#6
my cashback didnt track with htc desire s offer, so dont always count on cashback.

Good deal but be warned I did this back in March. Quidco didn't track (but claim raised and waiting to see of it gets validated) and have only just got the vouchers after about 5 emails, a visit to an O2 store, about 10 phonecalls and an offical complaint. Just be prepared.

I just looked at the more details and it says This includes smartphone, iPhone and BlackBerry specific sim only tariffs. but it does not say anything about the standard tariff
#9
sorry about that orange experience similar to mine 2 years ago now sold a contract by talk talk and facing the same th... con.. che..... as above organis..
#10
I took out simplicity sim only for iphone last month, should i try and claim?
#11
This seems a good deal but i am currently with O2 how would i go about getting this deal but retaining my number?

just bought the orange san francisco and was going to go for a giff gaff sim but this may be better?
#12

to take out the deal and retain your existing number - you need to take out the new simplicity contract where you will get a new number = you then give o2 both numbers and they will ensure the number is moved over and the original contract ceased ( i only know cos i'm staff!!)

Order as a new contract, request PAC code for current one, when the new one comes ring O2 from it, say you want to port your number and give them the PAC code, that's what I did last year and will be doing again this coming week (twice).

PAC code not needed when moving numbers within O2

Orange are pretty good at responding to complaints if you aim them at director level - [email protected] is your friend :)

Thanks.

I joined Orange PAYG + £5/pm BB services almost a year ago after being on O2(BT Cellent) for 15yrs and now seriously thinking of going back if it all adds-up.

I have received a good shafting from Orange on their ambiguous and random charges for data - the notorious "ap-prepaidsessio" appearing on the bill and the assholes sitting in Gurgaon and Noida call centres whose tag lines could be used for Slumdog Millionaire 2, are the the most useless people on the planet, along with some others who hide behind their inadequacies to do a job properly. Future is not so **** bright - if you are with them.

Anyways, I am going to be ringing this thieving, conniving and cheating organisation for the last time for my PAC code after deciding which tariff to choose on O2 and hope that TCB tracks...
#16
Still waiting for £100 cashback from O2, been over 6 months and nothing so don't bank on it. Will probably switch to another provider as a result, that and O2's network is pretty thin on the ground.

because hotukdeals is unfair?

thanks OP. HOT! :)

Ok, I don't understand. It says on TCB website - the 900minute tarrif is £151.50 cashback. What if I get the iPhone contract - 600min one which still comes up to more money a month - £21.50. Would I not get the £150 cashback?

Hope someone can help! Thanks
#22
When it asks "What type of phone will you use your sim in? Standard phone, Smart phone, BlackBerry, iPhone" does it matter if it will change?

I mean, I have a standard phone at the moment but looking to upgrade to iphone etc in coming months, will the SIM still work if I put it in an iphone then?

Pity its O2

No you'd get £40.40, as it says on Topcashback.

"12 Month Simplicity Package - 600 Minute Tariff - £40.40

This includes smartphone, iPhone and BlackBerry specific sim only tariffs."

(Hopefully that didn't sound too patronising, but it was literally on the second line of the "600 minute tariff" information box!).

Ah God, sorry, I was just looking at the £150 cashback bit and drooling, completely missed that! Thank you very much for your help.

Rather get a phone and get £100 cashback with it!

It doesn't mention standard tariff so if anyone selects that I doubt the £151 cashback will be paid.

It was when I did this last April, apparently contract to contract needs one, contract to payg and payg to contract doesn't.

Standard is included, it's all the 900 min ones, including the customes such as xxxxxx. Incase people thought it only included standard, when infacts it includes the others aswell, notice how standard is the default on the TCB link.
Also the smart phone and standard are the same, one just includes the internet by default, the other lets you add it after.

Sorry mate, you are going cause a lot of people a lot of hassle and disappointment when in fact if you select the standard tariff TCB will not pay out. here's the terms from TCB:
"This includes smartphone, iPhone and BlackBerry specific sim only tariffs."

Notice how it doesn't state standard phone tariff! Please amend your post.

I've just got to the end of a Simplicity £10 per month package and boy am I glad. I never paid only £10 - it was always quite a bit more and I hardly use my phone and don't surf with in. I would have been much better off staying with PAYG even including the £50 Quidco I got. I'm going with giffgaff next - they're brilliant.

The actual cashback listing is for the standard tariff. The blurb underneath clarifies that the other tariffs are ok as well.

If you hardly ever use the phone and don't surf then why did you pay more than £10 per month???

I think I am on the same deal as you.... 300 mobile minutes, unlimited landline calls, unlimited texts. The only extras I paid for were for a text on a Debenhams promotion to get a free £5 voucher.... so I think you must not be telling us something here. O2 do not charge you for things you don't use!

right, so my contract is up next week, if I take out the 900mins simplicity for an iphone through top cashback then add 1GB of data the monthly charge should be £13ish?

Are topcashback reliable? how long does it take for the cash to come in roughly?
#35
on merchant details for O2 it states

Cashback is not available on iPhone purchases. Cashback is only eligible for new customers and not upgrades.

So that might mean I wont get the cashback..
