Hi,
Dobbies have just sent me an email for their clearance section.
http://www.dobbies.co.uk/acatalog/Dobbies-Clearance-Department.html
Looks to be quite a range of decently reduced BBQs etc.
I'm not sure if these deals are available in store but the email seems to suggest only on-line. Postage appears to be free when placing orders of £40 or over.
I plumped for a Weber One Touch Gold BBQ which seemed to be a good deal.
If my speedy, so probably inaccurate, check of prices is correct then this BBQ normally sells for £145+ and is on Dobbies for £48.00 for the black one.
First deal so be kind :)

Thanks

Incredibly cheap-I pain around £130 for one touch gold last year. But will they honor these prices as says can cancel the order.

Thanks

Ordered a weber. Hopefully they will still have some in stock.

I've ordered 3 things from dobbies online none of which arrived - I was refunded but lied to several times that things had been sent - then told days later they weren't.

Their stock system is a joke and involves hoping one is in stock at a store who then send it out to you.

I would avoid!

I had thought that Dobbies on-line would be better than that as they've always seemed to be a bit pretentious - 'a posh garden centre'. Sorry to hear that they've mucked you about Jonperks.
Fingers crossed, at least with their 'within 48 hours' delivery icon we should know sooner rather than later if they've mucked it up.
Good luck everyone :)

I have had problems with them in the past too. It seems that (at least for some items) they don't have a central warehouse, but take an order, and pass it on to a store local to you. This is your order fulfilled online and it will be marked as such - whether or not the store have it in stock. If the store doesn't have it in stock, then you are not going to get the item, yet it takes ages for the store to tell the online shop that they have cancelled your order and should refund you.

tried to get one of the weber bbq's for £48 but they are out of stock now

I must admit I'm having a fair bit of difficulty trying to get through to their customer service dept to clarify the position with the order. It seems that they may not be quite geared up to deal with anyone actually buying stuff on-line. Oh well, I'm still hopeful; I don't want to vote my first deal cold just yet

Thanks for this - much appreciated and rep added. Was looking for a nice Weber BBQ and found one here half price.

I've just tried to order the Weber One Touch Gold BBQ at £48 but when you place in your cart it changes to £127.99 inc. VAT. Seems I got there a little too late!
#12
Well, my BBQ arrived today by TNT. Unfortunately it looks like an ex demo model but not used for cooking so I certainly can't complain for this price given it's got a 'guarantee'. Shame not all the bits were included :? so a call to Dobbies is in order.

had another go & ordered the 47cm compact weber for £27 (excl delivery).
seems a good price for a good make.
Lets hope, if it comes, the weather is decent enough so we can make good use of it this year!!

Mine is due to be delivered tomorrow. Went for the Weber one touch platinum for £75 noticed that its now back to £249:thumbsup:

Avoid like the plague! Took my money then said the delivery had been delayed, day of expected delivery got another email saying out of stock.
#16
Got mine delivered no problem
#17
Apologies for being a bit dim but how come this has been marked as expired ? Seems to me that there are still some offers
#18
Hopeless people to deal with (swamped with orders, apparently, and not replying to emails or phone calls) but the BBQ did turn up OK, and fairly quickly too.

Thanks for the posting.

BBQ turned up, no problems. Thanks KeithD!

I finally got my barbeque today after very persistent complaining. If anyone still has ongoing issues with this lot be persistent. Thanks OP
