what a strange pattern, disc 1 has 2 episodes, yes dics 3 has 4 episodes

disc 6 is only confidential.

really looking forward to series 4 getting cheaper.

Disk 1 only has one episode. The runaway bride and the confidential that followed it.
The last one (i don't have it, but assume it follows the same format as series 2) contains several confidentials edited down to remove all licensed music and pre-series clips.

So the basic structure is 3 - 4 - 3 which follows most series dvd's out there.

They may of been able to get more episodes on a disk than they do get without sacrificing picture quality, but its proven that if you throw a box set at someone with 6 disks for £30 and a box set with 2 disks for £30 people think they are getting more for their money with the 6 disk set and tend to go for that one. [The reason for the double VHS box sets years ago]

I used to watch this 'in passing' and was never that big of a fan, but the new Dr makes Tennant seem way up there with Tom Baker in comparison! I can't even watch it 'in passing' now it just gets on my t!ts!

Hopefully they don't bring them out on blu ray cos I went and bought the series 1 - 4 boxset, although I doubt they would as it would take a lot of work to remaster I would of thought. and you should watch the new doctor, he does grow on you after a while

I think what they've messed up with the new series is there's no continuation e.g. doctor, companion, tardis, theme tune, other characters the doctor knows (people to go OMG you've changed!), just seems to different to the last series, I do agree it seems a lot more childish as well

i guess the new doctor and series will have its lovers and haters. i caught a bit of an episode, it was laughable, and not in a good way. when you change something so much its almost like a reboot. no, for me the only doctors i shall be watching again are ecclestone and tennant.

as for the person hoping they dont release on bluray - it all depends on if they aired in HD on BBC HD at the time. They released the specials from last year on BR and this years is in HD too, im just not sure about 1-4.

My thoughts exactly mate. Ecclestone was outstanding, shame the beeb botched up by not getting a longer contract out of him. Fools!
