Cheapest preorder that I can find for this Dr Who DVD, that is primarily aimed at kids but if you are a Dr Who fan like me then any Dr Who will do, thank you very much.

Dreamland sees the iconic TARDIS touch down in the desert in the USA. Stumbling across a mysterious alien artefact in a local diner, the Doctor is led to Area 51, also known as Dreamland, the US' most secret base. He then finds himself on a momentous mission to rescue Rivesh Mantilax from the threat of the ruthless Viperox and the clutches of the American military.

Created in eye-catching high-definition 3-D animation, the series sees the Doctor, played by David Tennant, hook up with two new companions - Cassie (Georgia Moffett) and Jimmy (Tim Howar) - and pits him against a new alien race, the monstrous Viperox, led by Lord Azlok (David Warner).

Dreamland also comes with -

Doctor Who Greatest Moments--A 3 x 60 minute retrospective, taking viewers on a journey through time and space to relive action from the legendary sci-fi show from 2005 onwards, featuring exclusive interviews with key actors offering unique insights on the classic moments.

Doesn't mention this is 2 discs on bang - but most websites don't; but after some research/digging I can confirm that this is 2 discs ith the cartoon feature and the three documentaries

Episode 1
Dry Springs, Nevada, 1958. The Doctor befriends a young waitress, Cassie, and her friend, Jimmy, at a diner. The Doctor activates an alien artefact and, after finding further signs of alien activity, the US Army intervenes and takes him and his new companions to the mysterious Area 51 in Roswell, where they find out about Operation Fallen Angel. Will Operation leader Colonel Stark succeed in making the curious trio forget what they have just seen?

Episode 2
Seeking refuge in the abandoned town of Solitude, Jimmy stumbles across a disconcerting discovery and the trio encounter Viperox royalty.

Episode 3
The Doctor cannot understand why the Alliance of Shades' mop-up team are more concerned with the whereabouts of a piece of space flight hardware than the hordes of Viperox pods hidden underground. Things start to fall into place when Jimmy's grandfather, Night Eagle, introduces the Doctor to Rivesh Mantilax.

Episode 4
Captured by the US Army, Rivesh is finally reunited with his wife, Saruba Velak. Meanwhile, the Doctor discovers the unsettling truth about his real identity.

Episode 5
The Doctor and Saruba have to confront the mysterious alien force in the vault housing her space ship if they are to save her husband and stop Lord Azlok from rousing his sleeping army.

Episode 6
As sunset falls, the Viperox drones start to attack the US Army base. Can the Doctor find a way to halt the seemingly unstoppable aliens in their tracks?
Does anybody now if it going to be on Blu-Ray?
Was on the BBC over Christmas. Pretty shoddy animation, but not a bad story. Seems like a decent pre-order price, but I'd expect the price of this to tumble very quickly. I've picked up Dr Who cartoons on DVD for a quid or two before now.

It's absolutely a watch once and forget cartoon! IMHO.
I thought the animation was nice. It's not dreamworks, but I thought it was very well done. I'd recommend this.

Im sorry but I totally disagree, the quality of animation in this series is very poor. Very ridged, movements, dodgy walks, poor lip syncing. I will agree that it uses an interesting art style but very low budget animation.

But despite my gripes its still alright heres a review:
was this and the greaest moments not free less than a month ago?

its not that amazing visually & the 'extra' seems to be cut from Who Confidential over the past 4-5 years

Hot, but I'd rather wait to see if it comes out on Blu-Ray before I make the purchase.
i watched it on bbc I thought it was great ok the cartoons wasnt great and bluray will only make it worse but great story and alien - should be made into the dr who new series
Not worth buying.
£8 for 45 mins of very bad animation and below par storyline.

This should at best be thrown in as an extra on the series boxset.. that is it.

Please don't waste you're money.
