On the desolate planet of Telos an archaeological team from Earth is using explosives to gain access to an underground chamber. The Doctor, Jamie, and Victoria arrive to discover that they are searching for the fabled lost 'Tomb' of the Cybermen who all mysteriously vanished some 500 years earlier.

Inside they discover the entrance to a vast icy hibernation unit containing the last remnants of the Cybermen, frozen and unmoving. However, the Doctor soon becomes aware that not all of the team have joined the expedition out of scientific curiosity and that there are those in their midst who wish to revive the silver giants.

Soon the ice begins to melt and the Cybermen return to life, along with their rodent-like servants, the Cybermats. The Doctor must quickly find a way of stopping both the Cybermen and the human traitors before their menace is once more unleashed upon the galaxy.

Doctor Who is a rancid example of British television. A pound an episode doesn't strike me as a particularly good deal...

Have you ever seen this? Tomb of the cybermen is a great story with good acting - if you want rancid TV with cardboard acting try the original Star Trek series.

Can we avoid the Trek vs. Who internet cliches for the sake of a bargain, guys?

It's embarassing for both of you.

Yet again a posting on here which makes me wonder... why if you hate the item do you click on it, read it, and then feel the need to make a negative posting on it?

Must take up an awful lot of your life commenting on EVERY item you don't like!!!

Or did Doctor Who steal your sweeties when you were child? :?

ANY episode from the past is a bonus over the 'new' series of Doctor Who. How David Tennant's repertoire of leering expressions (total of two) can be described as great acting is beyond me as are the tediously repetitive Russell T Davies scripts. The old 'Kings Clothes' syndrome pervades. :x Anyway ... rant over .. back to the topic, readers ....

Even at 5.99 it was only a pound saving against other suppliers. Warm, but far from "Scorchio" IMHO
