For over thirty years as we have settled to our afternoon tea the intergalactic Time Lord has been transported to our television screens. This book offers an insight into the creative mind of the writer who has taken over the Tardis' controls so the Doctor can continue to journey to us in the 21st century.

Russell Davies became responsible for a multitude of galaxies when he became the writer for Series Four. Guided by Benjamin Cook's knowledgeable questioning, this book offers a unique insight into the creative process, complete with never before seen artwork.

This is the ultimate book for both Dr Who fans and those wishing for a truthful insight into the world of writing for the small screen.

This is a good price. Does anybody know how this compares with the updated version of the book? The new version is quite a bit more though.

Great price for a great book. Any budding writer should read this, regardless of whether they like Doctor Who or not.

Matt, the new version has about twice as much material - everything from this first edition, plus the same amount again of new stuff (it's huge!). The only shame is that it's a paperback, whereas this edition is hardback and really nicely presented, with stacks of photos.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered this anyway, it came yesterday along with the parker pens posted on here, its a really nice glossy book, some great pics in there. Will buy the updated version some time, this will keep me going for a while first!
