Review

The robbery should have taken ten minutes. Eight hours later, it was the hottest thing on live TV. And it's all true.

On a hot Brooklyn afternoon, two optimistic losers set out to rob a bank. Sonny (Al Pacino) is the mastermind, Sal (John Cazale) is the follower, and disaster is the result. Because the cops, crowds, TV cameras and even the pizza man have arrived. The "well-planned" heist is now a circus.

Based on a true incident, this thriller earned six Academy Award nominations.

Personally I went for the Blu-Ray version which is only out in the USA, but the good news is it will work in UK Blu-Ray players with no problems as it is Region Free.

I got mine from Amazon.com for £13.85.

Love this film - is it worth the BR version??

From the reviews I have read for the Blu-Ray version they seem to think that the Blu-Ray version is better than the DVD version, since I don't have the DVD I thought it better to get the Blu-Ray version.

The weird thing is the Blu-Ray version was released in the USA in 2007 and it still is not released in the UK, but like I said before it is Region Free and will work in any Blu-Ray player.

The screenshot equipment does not take a perfect frame screenshot and the screenshot can also contain more or less capturing artifacts due to hardware limitations of the screenshot equipment.

Thanks Batman - might go for the BR then.

My Blu-Ray version arrived today, only took 1 week and 5 days for standard shipping, so not bad at all.

The standard DVD has also now dropped to £3.98, so have updated the deal.
