Sendit also have their own points scheme which seems to give 5% off purchases and a decent selection of HDDVDs that the other sites do not have If you're looking to start your collection.

The blurb:
Narrated by Sean Penn and directed by skateboarding legend Stacy Peralta, Dogtown And Z-Boys is the award-winning documentary that took the Sundance Film Festival by storm. This is the story of a gang of discarded kids who virtually revolutionised skateboarding with an aggressive style, awe-inspiring moves and street smarts, and, in the process, transformed youth culture forever. Featuring historic old-skool skating footage, exclusive interviews and a blistering rock soundtrack, Dogtown And Z-Boys captures the meteoric rise of the Zephyr skateboarding team from Venice's Dogtown, a tough "locals only" beach with a legacy of outlaw surfing.
Armed with a guerilla code, the notorious Z-Boys sharpened their skills in the concrete jungle of '70s L.A. and then took it to the next level. Getting vertical in abandoned suburban swimming pools, they ignited an underground phenomenon that shaped the attitude and culture of modern-day extreme sports. With rare appearances by skateboarding icons Tony Alva, Jay Adams and Tony Hawk, Dogtown And Z-Boys is a thrilling all-access tour of the birth of a pop culture phenomeneon.

This is a great deal. If you're a skateboarder like me then its a must have as its great to see where todays 'aggressive' skateboarding began.

As for the motion picture Lords of Dogtown, I was a little dissapointed & thought it was your typical Hollywood exhagerrated affair & isnt a patch on this deal as i saw LOD for about £4 in Tesco.

If you have to go with 1 or the other I suggest Dogtown & Z-Boys.

Is Lord of Dogtoan any good? Seem to remember reading it was by some to is alledged to know the dogtown boys...
Was semi into skateboaring when I was younger (more surfing) but the music is superb.

See the negative trolls are out and voting cold. £4.89 less 4% plus 5% in ipoints is obvioucly not a hotdeal :p

I think both films work well together, so much so that I think you can get a R1 box set of the 2 films. I like to watch Z-boys and then watch Lords Of after, makes a great film night.

No it was written by the legend himself Stacy Peralta who knew these guys personally, & I'm sure you'll remember he was part owner of the skateboard Co Powell-Peralta (George Powell was his business partner) back in the 80's/early 90's.
He, along with a few of the other legends based on this film were also on set to give the actors lessons on how to skate for the film too.

I'm sure though that the Hollwood powers that be & film director decided that a little exhageration was needed & Stacy had no power to say no, or was offered extra $$$'s to agree to the bending of the truth.

I think u can get the box set on R2 aswell. Here u go: http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/advancedSearch.do?searchType=2&pGroupID=5&artist=&title=&catalogue=CDRP3464&primaryID=5&tduid=2eb233de98e02ab7f8e5b01bd5fa5c50

Dont get me wrong mate, if u want to see a bit more action & loads of great music then LOD is a great no brainer to chill to. Its just that I like to see real raw skating myself. I just felt that LOD was like watching the skating from Hollywood flicks like Back To The Future, Gleaming The Cube & Police Academy 4. Gleaming The Cube was actually pretty good skate wise actually!
