Doha to Hong Kong in Sri Lankan Airways Business Class (Fri 27/1/17 to Mon 13/2/17) just £[email protected] via Kayak.co.uk (other dates £772 to £787). Flights are via Colombo (with a very long 20 hour stopover on way back) as well as a 'technical stop' for one hour in Bangkok. You could always take a look around Colombo - a one or two day transit visa is free-of-charge and can be applied for online.

Please note that my example dates have you arriving in Hong Kong on Chinese New Year's Day (Sat 28/1/17). Quoted prices also assume that you are paying via debit card (I would recommend paying by credit card to provide some protection against airline failure/bankruptcy).

Obviously this deal won't suit everybody as you've got to find your own way to Doha (Qatar) first! However, getting business class flights at this price point is pretty amazing.

Sri Lankan Airways are part of the Oneworld alliance and these flights will earn 560 tier points with BA's Executive Club (i.e. 4 long-haul flights at 140 tier points each). This is just 40 points short of earning Silver status in one go! [Note: Silver status gives you business class lounge access even when flying BA economy]

See you on on-board - I'll be in Seat 1A. ;-)

Cheers,

...Nick B

I flew Sri Lankan airways business class from Bangkok to London a few years back, as the price was only £200 more than an economy ticket.

Don't be put off by the airline, they were very good, hand nice lie flat seats (had a lovely sleep between Bangkok and Colombo, food was lovely, service was great and entertainment wasn't the best but also wasn't bad.

In Colombo they had a private car waiting for me when i got off the plan (i had no idea about this until i landed) which took me to a lovely hotel right on the beach, I google the hotel and turns out it was £200 a night, so well worth paying the £200 extra on the ticket. The breakfast the hotel put on was amazing. Then a private car to take me back to the airport. Was then taken to the business class lounge that everything you could need (food and drink was again lovely) and then a great flight back to the UK. I am sure BAs buisness class is "better" but I had a great experience with this airlines business class services and if you need to fly this route between these dates I would highly recommend them

Not that hard: Kayak
- BA Direct: £356 @Omega via Kayak (must admit, I wouldn't trust Omega though)
- Pegasus (One stop) £202 @ Opodo via Kayak

Why? Why do people comment on things they have absolutely no clue about :/

I do travel to Doha quite frequently because my girlfriend lives there so I know that flights from the UK to Qatar are not cheap. You could get cheaper flights with Oman Air or Gulf Air but you need to change at least once. And Pegasus have a worse reputation than Ryanair and they're often late or their flights get cancelled so I'd not use them.
I get it that it's a good price for a business class flight and you can collect a huge amount of Avios and tier points but you still need to get to Doha somehow.

Maybe we could start posting deals on flights from Dallas to Johannesburg or Vladivostok to Shangai.

Why don't you trust Omega? I've booked flights with them before and not had any problems
