  It does have a proper ending, but you can tell that they were originally intending to get there with a few season's worth of arc, so a hell of a lot more plot development happens right at the end than happens for most of season 1.
  
  I did quite enjoy the "story of the week" stuff, but it really hits its stride once it ditches that and goes fully arc.

  Just watched it on Netflix over the past few weeks. Quite enjoyed it.
  Cheaper option too - don't tend to buy discs anymore . . .

  Nope - made it to two seasons. The box-set and the NetFlix edition has this two-parter end-of-season episode which caps the end of each season and ties the whole story together.
  It is done pretty well but on a rather apparent lower budget but does bring everything together in the end.
  It wasn't broadcast this way though - it's all explained in the wiki

  looking forward to viewing this on netflix... tbh, not that impressed with some of netflix's compression that leaves the blacks pretty muddy and really dark on my tv... so will be watching a few eps then I'll see if it warrants a Blu-ray purchase.

  Cheers, I know that the production team had been told they were getting cancelled and Fox agreed to fund to the end of the season so they could wrap up the story .

  You need to watch Alias! One of my all time favourite shows. I enjoyed DollHouse. It had a lot of potential so I've ordered it for my collection. Thanks original poster! :o)

  I've already seen Walking Dead (Fantastic) Spartacus (Awesome imagery) True Blood (Good entertainment) and 24 (Gripping)
  
  Fell out of love with Sanctuary and saw a few eps of Breaking Bad (which is a great show btw) Nikita I found really dull when compared to Alias. No match for me. :)
