I think you mean 33p a jar?

No he means three for the price of one (like the thread title says). At £2.05 for 1 that makes them 68p each

It's 3 for 1 (not 3 for £1). I misread it too the first time.

It's got nothing to do with morals though. Ooops. I'm a clever dick. Slap me down.

Really ? I get more annoyed by the people who post questions without reading the post.

Take a look at the poster's name though and you will start to understand. They didn't manage to read the second or third post either which explained the pricing to those whose eyes played tricks with them.

gotta admit, i too read it as 3 jars for £1, took me half a minute to see the relevence of the £2.05 below the pic

probably would of been clearer if posted '3 jars for the price of 1' or 'buy 1 jar get 2 free' or '3 jars for £2.05'
#16
Hi guys it seems some people are reading 3 for £1 I'll make it clearer next time I post a deal like this. 'Buy 1 Get 2 Free' would have been better in hindsight.

Not advertised on the shelf earlier, I didn't want to risk holding a queue up by argueing I seen it here!

It also isn't on the end of shelf deals, won't vote on this either way until I get clarity.

Hi GlentoranMark. I found the offer on mysupermarket.co.uk but I also signed in at tesco.com just to check and it was on tesco's website too running until 03 january 2009. If I were you I would have just asked a store assistant or someone stacking shelves to check the price as they use pocket pc's which tell them all the actual prices. They're usually very helpful in my local branch.

Hi,
just been to Mr Ts in Bidston and purchased three jars, two taste of Sicily and one tast of Rome.Went through self service and became clear that only one of the jars went through as free.Paid for item and went to customer services were lady went to shelf label and confirmed offer. She also removed shelf label and tried to refund me £2.03 for the other jar.I do have knowledge of Tescos policy on overcharge and asked for double the difference which she kindly gave therfore got the three jars for free!Looked in another Tesco on way home but no shelf label their,

cheers

Shelf label in Stafford, just no stock! Well there was, but only 2 jars.

just bought 3 jars at newtownabbey tesco and it only took £2.05 off the bill. I'll have to go back to them but it really pis$es me off that this has happened to so many other people today who wont catch on if they didnt check their receipt

They said sorry and gave me a £4.10 refund

Happened to me as well. I spent an interesting 20 minutes being audibly hated by the people behind me in the Customer Services queue as the (very helpful) Tesco chap tried to follow my inarticulate reasoning. All was well in the end and last night I feasted on the Sorrento, which another poster has already pointed out is lovely, with linguine. Heat added, to poster (and pasta).

Stafford now has stock again, but have removed all the sale labels. Not buying it at over £2 a jar, still got some Lloyd Grossman ones that were under a quid.

I went back to my local store today and spoke to the lady at the Customer Service desk. She looked thoroughly confused and ended up refunding me £9.16... not sure how she reached that figure but I didn't complain :)
