I have been looking for a domain package for some time and spotted justhost.com as a good value for money package. After being on the site for some time and clicking away it popped up with a 25% off voucher code. Leaving it again for some time resulted in a 50% off voucher code!! This gives Domain and hosting for £1.98 per month if you sign up for 2 years up front. Total cost £47.52, its a pretty good deal compared to what I have been looking at.

Quidco also state to give £50 for this package through:
http://www.quidco.com/just-host/

I did the following:

1) Used the quidco link to click-through
2) Clicked on Signup
3) Used voucher 50OFF when asked
4) Filled in details and selected 2 years @ £1.98
5) Paid via Credit Card

I am still waiting to see if it will track, but will update the post to confirm. Either way I hope someone will find this is what they are looking for.

UPDATE: I can confirm that this has tracked successfully, furthermore it tracks at the amount before the 50% off discount for a staggering deal. I will update when it validates, fingers crossed!

HDUK form decided to bum Submit resulting in we writing this post twice :(

Would recommend those considering the deal read http://www.webhostingreviews.com/just-host-reviews.htm

It looks like a decent deal, but depending on the importance of your website I would suggest that price is one of several equally important considerations.

Of course I don't know how reliable the hosting is, but I've been down the cheap route before and will never return.

99.9% uptime and a range of awards: http://www.justhost.com/awards

Seems pretty kosher, but time will tell.

Great deal but does anyone know where the servers are hosted? I would image it's in the US rather than UK, which of course make a big difference.

By the looks of it, the servers are in the US, and offices are in the UK.

better to sign up once, then come back a year latter for a second set of quid co?
#9
Voted COLD I'm afraid!

JustHost own all the websites which conveniently awarded them all those awards, if you google them they appear top in almost all of the "top web host" lists, simply because they own the sites! for sure it's not illegal, but I certainly wouldn't want to deal with a company with such low moral standards. They are also one of the biggest oversellers out there.
#10
There are quite a few hosting companies on quidco with good amounts of cashback. I think if one looks deep enough, there will be a better deal out there based on a better service!
#11
im with x10hosting ... not the best as its down quite a but not annoyingly. However, its totally free and has a lot of features ... and its ad free! Cant go wrong for a website that doesnt need massive amounts of up time.

hmmmm thanks for that but if it is down ALOT, then I don't think I would even upload eBay pictures on it. :(

having been with a number of hosts over the years, when it come to support which includes being able to contact someone on a phone line simply... you get what you pay for. If you want the best service don't expect to get it for free!!!!

I cannot imagine their support is great, but in the event you hopefully will not need to use it, and providing your website is not critical i.e. your source of income, I cannot see how this can be voted cold.

If you really think just hosts suck, then use it to get the what appears to be £16.25 quid profit from quidco! :whistling:

JustHost.com usually gets absolutely appalling customer reviews; that seems to be why they make up their own awards.

http://www.webhostingreviews.com/just-host-reviews.htm

Here are their (pretty shocking) aggregate customer ratings:

Uptime & Reliability: 1.07 out of 10
Server & Connection Speed: 1.50 out of 10
Price/Value for Money: 1.29 out of 10
Technical Support & Knowledge: 0.79 out of 10
Customer Service & Billing: 0.47 out of 10

Wow they really are bad reviews on http://www.webhostingreviews.com/just-host-reviews.htm maybe if the quidco went through you could call it ok as it would be free but I certainly wouldn't pay for the type of service I have read about in the reviews. voted cold for that reason.
#20
This seems OK deal, assuming Quidco gets paid out.

Remember: even if the transaction is tracked and shows up on your Quidco statement, it doesn't mean you will EVER get any money. They might decline the transaction later, or never pay out. Submitting a ticket won't do much either.

So, if you feel like gambling 50£, go ahead and sign for this, I'll better put my money elsewhere.
Good luck!

Been with them for nearly 12 months and I have to say complete rubbish. It has been that bad I would not use them if they were free

These kind or review sites only attract unhappy customers. For a low cost service I cant imagine happy customers are flocking to write reviews. But in fairness I agree, I cant imagine there service is great. As mentioned before, dont expect the worlds best hosting for £2 per month. I paid over double that with 1&1 previously and their service totally sucks.

I will keep updated with how it goes for me, but within 1 hour my website was live so so far so good!

The fact that there are negative reviews is enough for me to keep away.

That's simply not true, and if you had bothered to take a look around the site you would have seen that.

Nobody expects 'the world's best hosting', but even when going to a free hosting package, they expect a minimum basic standard of service on a consistent basis. The reviews of JustHost suggest that they are pretty awful at providing even a basic service, and that some of their marketing claims (eg. 'unlimited' service) have been shown to be absolutely untrue.

I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge-pole until they get a bit more experience and reliability under their belt.
#28
I got this 2 weeks ago, but my Quidco hasn't tracked yet  How do I open a claim in Quidoc? I think if the Quidco tracks, then it is worth it (free) and my website is up and running, and all the other domains I point to it, take you to it also...Someone on here is going to sort out my site for me, so I'll let you know how it looks this week...
For those saying that it's pish, who do you use, who do you recommend? I should add that I think this deal is unlimited everything, space, traffic, domains etc. so apart from the "bad reviews" I think it looks good...Just tried my site again and it's still live

Good point but if you look at the main page http://www.webhostingreviews.com/ you will see plenty of positive replies to other providers and you expect at least a few positive when in fact there is only a brief one for justhosts. In the end these are peoples views you have to decide for yourself if people are telling the truth or that you are only seeing negative views as they are the people most likely to complain.

check the T&Cs to see if it is geniunely unlimited as most places tend to put fair use and sometimes these are quite small i.e. virgin mobiles fair use on mobile broadband.

Good point...My site is not receiving any traffic yet, and I have not "went live" in selling anything yet, or finished setting it up, so we'll just have to wait and see...
I just read the reviews on that link, and it doesn't sound too good, but personally, I need something to be amazing to write a review on anything, so maybe it is just a load of disgruntled customers.

If anyone has any similar deals, for what just host provide free for 2yrs (if quidco tracks) I would be interested to see it, thanks.
#32
I don't think they will pay the quidco as it's the equivalent of their 50% off promotion; £50ish. I expect it's one or the other.

Remember, there is no such thing as unlimited disk space - until someone invents an unlimited hard disk of course. They can give you all the unlimited resources in the world, but you can pretty much guarantee they will suspend your account for hogging resources before long!

fwit, I signed up with them a few months ago to check the service (since they offer 30 day money back) as I get clients who sometimes just want really cheap hosting to test forum/blog/commerce/cms software etc, one look at the server load and I was out of there, the server clearly couldn't handle the number of sites they had stuck on there. If you login to cPanel, click "server status" on the left hand side and look down the list for server load, it will give you a pretty good idea of how bad you can expect the service to be, though you really need to monitor it over a day or so as it will fluctuate quite a bit.

You can also use that site to check just how many sites your web host is cramming on to the same server as you if you're on a shared package.

There are people commenting on WHR about JustHost's service have said that their sites have been pulled when receiving more than 500 hits per day. In fact, many of the complaints are about the fact that they don't get the 'unlimited' service which they thought they were signing up (and paying handsomely) for.

Well I've been with them for a year almost now and no problems at all, they do change their servers occasionally and dont tell you, but as long as you use their DNS servers its not a problem. I've got 3 sites (2 are top listed by Google) on line now and all are always up, good service from them so far, no complaints. AND you can host multiple domains on your account without any charges. Heat added.

thankfully this site is hotukdeals.com and the sites it shares its servers with are quite respectable from what I can see. :-)

Seems to big of a gamble, so no thanks to wasting and risking £50

Just checked, and my site is still up....I think I will stick with it. Less than £25 for a years hosting is a good deal imo, and if quidco comes through, 2yrs for free.

just to let you folks know, hosting to date has been pretty good. Lots of software on the site to quickly install various php packages etc. Uptime has been 100% (as far as I know). Just to top it off, my quidco got validated!! :-D
