wouldnt go any less than a five star to the Dominican - thats not being snobbish, thats being careful. Need to especially watch out for the water over there, and how its cleaned and used.
Please use tripadvisor or similar before booking.

I have been a couple of times to RIU hotels in
the Dominican Republic. They are very good
and of a very high quality. They have about half a
dozen hotels, some in the north and some south.
Cleanliness and hygene are of the highest standard.
You won't go wrong at a RIU.
(No, I am not on the payroll.)

Has Dominican Republic been affected by the earthquake in Haiti at all.

we was at this hotel 2 years ago its ok but food not the best but what do you expect from a poor country we enjoyed ourselves
#8
nice place would go back good for 4x4 riding through the slums ect. but dont book from the hotel or the people that try sell you it around the hotel pools ect. cheaper just to walk out and book it.

pretty sure our local shop was robbing us aswell aprox $20 (us) for a big packet of crisp and 2 small bottles of coke.
Try the vanilla cigars! they also have a few casino's around which are ok but not great.

the food is ok but after a while your stomach will hurt :p

but i would rather pay the extra £100-£200 and go enjoy myself in thailand, alot more to do and food and people are great!

good price at £420 think we paid sth like nearly 800 each.
