The camera won't wow anyone but a good travel phone with some nice features for around 50 quid.

I am a big fan of dual sim setups as I have two numbers. stats from the site....

What health issues do they cause?...athletes foot, toothache, haemorrhoids or galloping knob rot?

This will be a technically sound phone & at the price a real bargain....the biggest let down will be the 5" screen with an 854 x 480 resolution ....pixel density is shockingly poor

I was thinking the same, im nor fussed about the camera, but that screen res on a 5inch will look terrible. Still, better than my current back up, the HTC Wildfire, drives me suicidal.

A fake 'Doogee'? Is that even possible?

Seems this actually does have 3g, but still be careful, random things won't work on these intricate machines and you won't be able to return it
#17
If this could output 1080p smoothly, it might be worth just using for XBMC. Connected wirelessly to a NAS, and occasionally used as a Bluetooth music player, this could be a very adaptable, and importantly, (software) upgradable media player. It's 5" inch screen has a really low dpi, so it would be a bit ugly as a day-to-day phone.
#18
Having said this, this feature could be switched off in android os. So only one sim is active, and thus not emitting any radio waves, and transmitting information. It would also depend on the sae rating. 2 sims could be lower than the worse performing single handset.
Technical specs are actually need. Thou I agree with the logic, that two sim's in active use, would mean double the raditation.
I would suggest people go back to the legacy years where mobiles had only just taken off.
#19
LOL if it ever arrives. I'm still waiting for an order for over 2 months.
#20
Screen resolution will be perfectly fine for what the phone is used for.

no,the worst feature will the lack of storage

I have the htc desire 500 and its only 2 months old....totally useless with 4gb memory as android and non deletable apps take up over 3gb......pointless - you can install an micros sd card but its a waste of time - had a Samsung s4 before which was ok. im ditching it in favour of a Samsung s5 - why did android destroy their os couple years ago - if I have a combined phone and expandable storage of 36gb, I should have NO storage issues if my phone has less than 8gb of os and apps but I do....starting to get fed up with android!!

8Gb may not be fantastic but it may suit many who don't need dozens of apps.

Google do seem bent on trying to dissuade people from using SD cards but there will always be a way to use one for apps thanks to the custom ROM devs out there.

This is not made by Dealtime Extreme......Doogee are a well established chinese phone & electronics manufacturer .....the same country the majority of our consumer electronics are made these days.....

Most peoples problems with these things is brand snobbery

I have my DG310 now, and it's nicely made and the software is very polished.

Screen resolution is acceptable and performance via antutu is about the same as Moto G.

Good spot, OP.

Hi Plap

Yeah, I've had this phone for around 2 weeks now, and I really like it. The phone itself is pretty big but slim with a 5" screen. It's like a big Galaxy S3. It profiles around the same as an S3 (Tegra 3) with Antutu, scoring around 17,800 or so. It feels very responsive when using, and I think the GPU is faster than the resolution of 854x480 demands, so it never seems to lag.

Because the phone is quite big, the battery is also large. I can get 2 days of normal phone use out of it, or around a day and a half of light browsing/gaming.

It has dual sim, so you can setup one card for voice and another for data, or have both the same. I'm with Tesco mobile, so I had to setup the APN myself, which is easy to do if you just google ' apn codes'. The 3G and voice quality on it works perfectly well - often times better than the iPhone 4 that it replaced.

I the box you get a DC charger, a USB cable and an extra screen protector (there's one on it already) and I also got a plastic shell for it, because I pre-ordered. You can charge either by DC or by usb. Most importantly , it has a micro-sd card slot, which moto-g doesn't have.

Although the screen seem low resolution by today's standard, it actually doesn't feel like it. Brightness and viewing angle are very good, because it's IPS.

Overall, I'd have no reservation in recommending this phone for around £50. The closest comparison is the Moto-E, but this benchmarks about 50% faster.

Am not expecting the performance and build quality and good camera of a high-end smartphone but had to be usable so it suits my requirements.

Have this DG310 for some days now. Very nice design and build quality, doesnt feel or look like a 50£ product, but rather 400£.

The good:
- Screen is clear and bright with excellent viewing angles, no problems with resolution at all. I will argue, the relatively low resolution, or rather correct resolution for this screen size, mean faster graphics and better battery life time - I think I couldnt tell if the screen resolution was higher.
- Micro SD Card up to 32GB, I bought a 32GB card next day for 10£.
- The quad core 1.3GHz, smooth and fast operation.
- Android 4.4 KitKat.
- Exchangeable battery.
- Dual SIM, might come in handy someday.
- 2 years warranty, exceeding the expected holding time.
- 50£ is an absolute silly price for this "Galaxy5".

Cons
- Camera is not the best, do take decent pictures, but not a replacement for your Nikon. The alternative is the Doogee Valencia with 13MP camera, but not as nice design as the DG310, so I stick with this one even I have 2 weeks to return it.

I hope they will come with a new similar phone with 13MP camera, and I buy it - I can buy eight DG310 for one iPhone.

My point is, better buy a Smart Phone like this for 50£ each year, and have the latest Android and specs - than buying an iPhone and hold it for 3-4 years, most of the years owning an outdated phone.
