I know not everyone is a fan of Gearbest, and Doogee phones always seem to raise a laugh, but if the specs are right, seems a lot of phone for the money.

Don't forget Quidco / TCB

Antutu scores are pretty meaningless though, how is the phone in real life use?

battery size seems awesome! do the reviews mention real world life?

3 day common use says link. i just carry a battery pack with my note 2. my note 2 is feeling old and slow but love the pen and screen better than my dad's Huawei honor 4x so still don't see the need to upgrade... though always tempted to see what is out there!

Trying to find out - was looking for a new "big battery" phone as I bought the NGM Endurance last year, but dropped the phone with charger in the other week, and since then it only likes one USB cable, and even then, sometimes refuses to charge.

Mainstream phones just don't seem to have the battery size, and while I have concerns over the (non)warranty for Chinese imports, write it off over a year and it is only £10 or so a month, but I didn't want to get stung for duty as an extra cost.

Ideally, would like a balance of reasonable performance and reliability, with a good sized battery, so if anyone has alternatives, please shout.

Sony IMX 214 13mp is stated in description so if its not as described a return would be warranted :)

how about the Oukitel 6000 pro. similar specs to this except it has full HD screen and aluminium body

they're on eBay now from UK sellers for about £125

So dodgy even the name warns you!

720p screen?

Also a quick Google found it for £94.49 at lightinthebox.com (whoever they are).
No idea if they ship from CN or EU though.

Cheers for that - just had a "best offer" accepted on Ebay for £115 on the K6000 Pro. Very much obliged for your suggestion.

we've bought the Doogee X5 and X5 Max for family members and they are great phones for the money. You can't compare it to iPhone or Samsung as the performance will never be the same, but £ for £ they are amazing handsets :)

I can also recommend the Ulefone Power to anyone who is interested. 6050mAh + good specs. Was looking for something that would last a day of pretty constant use. Has been surprisingly good all round and will last 2 days for me.

a year ago doogee launched the F3 pro as a flagship phone for around £100 and I took the gamble and bought via gearbest with some trepidation and after quite a wait it arrived OK and I've used it ever since and its been fine for a phone of this price. The biggest drawback was the poor battery but you soon get used to charging at every opportunity!! these Chinese phones are slowly impacting on the mainstream manufactures and looking at the specs on phones a year later I'm becoming less sceptical about them!! I'm quite tempted by the xoami redmi note 3 international edition just launched so any comments about this phone would be appreciated.

I've got the Redmi Note 3 Pro.
Superb phone, the screen is great & battery life is impressive.
It's secondary to my iPhone 5S but I use it intensively for Pokemon Go, Boom Beach, tethering & home automation.
My only experience of Doogee is the X5 Pro, & that was mostly disappointing. Although I probably expected too much from a budget phone.

You could always wait for the new Xiaomi Redmi...
