I was just browsing the dvds on hmv.com and noticed the recent Doomsday film by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) was only £2.99!!

Along with a couple of other films, they have got some good bargains going on.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall £4.49, The Fountain £2.99, The Illusionist £2.99 and Gone Baby Gone £3.99 are also brilliant films for cheap!

Haha perfect description! :) It's less than the sum of its parts but it's still enjoyable.

Not gonna vote but I thought this movie was utter tosh; I didn't enjoy at all yet I like Max / 28 / Escape etc.

Must be because I'm old!

Hilariously poor film. Shame as Marshall's previous films were great.

I would rather burn myself then watch it again

I love this film, it's a nod to the 80s post apocalypse genre ~ elements of New Barbarians to Escape from New York.
Under-rated. Well worth £2.99

It's worth £2.99:thumbsup:

Another vote here for worst film ever award. Definately not worth £2.99 It is so bad in places they should have made it a comedy. Then it might have been ok.

Did anyone else spot the whole APC scene lifted straight from Aliens? I knew at that point it was going to be a bad film. I turned it off when the 30 year old Bentley GT started FIRST TIME. (WTF?)

This film insulted my intelligence. That said, there are lots of people who liked it and would buy two copies.

BTW. £2.99 was the budget for the actors.
