I am signed up to the newsletter and received this a few days ago. The deal is for double points in the evening up until Xmas. So for those who like Subway this is pretty good. 500 points gets you a free 6" sub - or you can use the points on other bits.

This is my first post by the way - just wanted to let everybody know about the double points.

==================

To get your hands on the extra points just spend £3 or more, after 5pm, from 11th to 24th December and remember to scan your registered SUBCARD® or app too. Why not try our delicious Ham & Bacon BBQ Melt new to the SUBWAY £3 LUNCH™ menu?

The extra points will be added to your account by 8th January - so you'll get a tasty points boost to start the New Year!

I've always been curious - how many points do you actually get per footlong sub? Never been bothered to sign up for a subcard but I've been buying them quite a lot recently.

You earn 1 point per 10p spend and you need 1000 points to get a free footlong sub.
So you need to spend 100GBP to get a free footlong!
(Though you might have already have gained a footlong on the waist if you earn that many points in a week lol :p )

Essentially, its not even worth keeping in your wallet.

More or less ! I seldom visit there, I only get a 6' inch sub (500 points) free every 2 years lol!

You get double points from a new card, so I'm wondering if this stacks to quad points!

I go there 3-4 times a week and when they first introduced the card, I did a quick calculations and told them its not even worth me trying to remember and taking out of the wallet each time to collect the points. £100 to get a free sub is a ridiculously poor incentive.

Well say you go 4 times a week and spend £3. That's £12 a week , or £96 every 8 weeks so a free footlong sub about every 2 months or so. Though you'd save so much more by eating homemade sandwiches lol ( admittedly a moot point!)

I was hoping I could copy and paste the image from the Subway site. Here are the points in more more detail:

Free regular hot drink - 100 points
Free snack - 200 points
Free 6" sub, flat-bread or salad - 500 points
Free footlong - 1000 points

Also, as somebody mentioned earlier if you sign up for a new Subcard you get double points - not sure if these stack though? When you sign up everything is double points for 28 days.

Hope this helps
