Come rolled up too which is very convenient. I bought my daughter one like this from the High St that came rolled up and it was great. Fitted in the boot of my car no probs. Just unroll and leave to expand for an hour, job done

I am not a fan of silent night pillows either. I bought some and they were rubbish, all mishappd and useless in no time. However then I bought the cheapest Fogarty pillows and they stay fluffy? Also I am in the market for a double mattress but now I don't know where not to put my money. Silent night have a familiar brand name, but after the bad pillow experience I don't know who to trust. Especially sponsored reviewers who might be biased to give a good review? There was an article about this in today's daily mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2541874/Saggy-truth-2-000-mattress-Luxury-bedding-beaten-place-test-one-costing-tenth-price.html

The amazon reviews from genuine purchasers look pretty good. The Daily Mail article (which I put in post 1) quote a Which test which should be unbiased enough for most people

These mattresses are awful ....AVOID

I bought the 7-Zone version from Amazon last month and it is great! Comes rolled up so you have to leave it for 24hours before using it.

It's exactly the same size as every other mattress I've owned so bed covers should fit no problem.

I guess that depends on if you like memory or not. I couldn't cope with memory foam, too hot for me. Went for pocket sprung with natural fillings. Each to their own though. Good price for this, in my opinion, if this is what you want. Hit and miss between expensive and cheap products if you ask me. Some people have paid sooooo much money for mattresses and not been happy.

Just a fantastic assessment. Thank you for your contribution.

3cm of memory foam in this, you really want that in inches.

I bought a divan bed with mattress 5 years ago, the mattress has memory foam on the top, cost in total £799 with the divan, I dropped the mattress when moving, and it was raining that day, there was no way I could get the mattress right after that. I've cleaned it even with white vinegar but it still has a weird stink to it. Fed up after er 4 years so looking for a new one. Cheers OP :)

That would be 1.18 inches then!
Seriously... I had one with 3" (thinking more luxury) and it was too soft so I bought one with just 2" and I would say that's medium but I appreciate my conclusions are all subjective.

Warranty info (from user comment on the 7 zone version) >

Anyway, this is how the warranty pans out over 5 years:

1. Year 1: Standard warranty, including labour and transportation cost included
2. Year 2: Same as year one, but if there's replacement of the mattress, you'll incur the transportation cost
3. Year 2-3: Beginning of a sliding scale of charges. In case of claim, you pay 40% of current retail price
4. Year 3-4: You pay 60% of the current retail price
5. Year 4-5: You pay 80% of the current retail price!

I have this mattress and a similarly priced Hypnia one with 2" of memory foam and 12" thick in total...

I would have to say the silent night one is ok as a spare, but wouldn't want to sleep on it every night as it is quite thin.

This type of purchase is a bit like televisions, which in my humble opinion, (and considering how much time we all spend watching tv/ in our beds) probably the type of thing where it might be justified to spend a little more money...

I bought one of these [king size] from amazon Dec 2013 and used it 20 Dec to 4 Jan 2014 and can't get used to it.
Wife loves it but I move too much in the night and find it too firm.
For sale if anyone is interested.
Will create a thread if so.

This goes on Amazon lightning deals often. Bought it in 2012 for £109. Great mattress if you like sleeping on your side as it moulds to your shape.

You need a special fitted sheet that has elasticated ends for full memory foam mattresses otherwise they keep coming off when you use them.

Sorry but the Argos ones are not 3 zone! Not sure what the difference is but the 3 zone ones have the which magazine award on them and the pattern is different, not a bad price on ebay for king size with free next day delivery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380727990576

Should I have just posted this lol

We bought one and are now returning it as the chemical smell is unbearable and has not worn off....I do not want to sleep next to chemicals.
