This is one for all the golfers out there. I don't see this posted yet and it runs till 7/11/16.

Basically they are giving twice as much as they normally do on trade in's. Which is great for any keen golfers out there.

Some examples that I have done myself

Mizuno MP54 irons got at the start of season second hand on eBay for 220 traded in for 315 so upgraded myself to a set of 916 cbs.

Ping G20 driver traded in for 90 quid got myself a Callaway bb alpha driver which they price matched to 179.99. And best about it if I trade it next week as used it's worth more than a paid. 220.

So worth checking out in store as well to see what stock they have as the driver was sitting on the rack with a 399 price tag.

To find the value of any gear you have use

valueguide.pga.com this is what American golf will use in store to get the price however the price will show as dollars on the site but just divide it by 0.75 and that will give you the gbp price and the double up value. So no are maths to be done lol

Here's the t&c's below. But in a nut shell it's trade in old for new, ie driver, hybrid or set of irons must be hardware. So a example I can trade in a set of old irons for a new driver. They will price match anything you can find online as well. As long as its not the Ali express or eBay etc.

Also note you cant trade in two items against one new item.. One piece of hardware against another. Note as well a set of irons is one piece of hardware.

Terms and Conditions

Trade-in and get double the value on your old clubs.

Any club can be traded in against any new clubs product. Trade in and purchased items do not have to be the same. For example you could trade in a driver and purchase some irons.

Clubs cannot be traded in against second hand product.

The trade in value cannot exceed the purchase value of the new product. No credit will be given. For example, If the trade in value of your club is £200 and your new purchase is £170 you will not receive a credit for £30.

The trade in is one item against one item (a set of irons is one item). Multiple trade ins against one purchase will not be accepted.

Valuations can only be given in an American Golf store, where PGA.com will be used as a guide to the value of your clubs.

American Golf reserves the right to withdraw the offer without prior notice.

Good deal but the value I was offered isn't quite as per the PGA website.

Mizuno mp58 3 iron to P showing as $196 value. So in theory $196 x 2 = $392. Today fx 1.22 so roughly £320.

I called the local American Golf store and they offered me £256 for them.

Just figured this out. The PGA website already has a 20% bonus built in to the price it shows on the value page. If you remove that 20% increase, the value that American Golf offered me is about right.

Looking on the pga value site your irons mp58 3-pw is worth $192 so if you divide that by 0.75 you get £256 so the value you got from them is the correct one.

You don't have to worry about current exchange rates etc they work on a fixed rate.

Think I will trade in the Cally driver they price matched last week.

Always wanted one of the new ping G drivers so with this deal it's become a reality lol.

220 trade in value plus 80 cash will get me a 299 pound driver.

Total cost in cash including trading in a ping g20 driver will be 170 quid.

That's cheaper than the Chinese replica on the Ali express lol

Just been quoted £182 for TM R9 irons !!!

That's more than their trade in price for the Fly-Z White irons !!

And my irons are 6 years older !!

Heard rumors that they might be pulling this at the end of the week.

Some stores have like 20 sets of second hand irons

The mate traded a cobra driver in got like 60 they are now selling it for 49.99.

In the space of 10 hours, the value of my clubs has changed.

It's dropped £37 !
#9
Same for my Cally driver but to be fair the prices have not changed in the last four weeks that I have seen looks like it's was across alot of clubs.

Some lower value clubs have not dropped a example the aero burner fairway it's stayed at 41 dollars

Damn, should have bought that left hand R11 Iron set off ebay for £50 BIN and used it as PX
#11
Yeah great idea buying left handed. And trade it up.

Golf depot were doing r15s there I heard for 100 quid. Up until the price drop stated above if I remember right you were making a easy 20/30 quid.

I got myself a ping g there cost me in the end 170 quid along with a g20. Couldn't be happier

Called in yesterday, store manager said deal will last up till Xmas at least.

However, his calculations for value are -

value.guide = pga website.

Multiply by 1.5 then divide by 2

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Although I think he's wrong !

this should really be scorching. Not only do they double up on your trade in clubs but they also price match any online golf site. Just got a set of Mizuno Jpx Ez 2016 model irons for £260 after double value trade in.
#15
Yeah I can't remember ever seeing a golf deal as good in time I am playing.

As i stated above divide that by 0.75 and that gives you the GPB price @ the double value and all.

It's confirmed to run till Xmas eve. But I heard again today they are running it till end of Jan.

Saw an ad on SKY Sports 4 that this back on?
#17
It's still on. Tho somewhat limited now from what I hear

1, no longer taking wedges in trade
2, won't price match against other retailers
3, no custom fit orders ( just off the shelves)

Cant confirm this tho not been in since boxing day but that's what am hearing now
