Doves
Kingdom Of Rust
Arriving four years after their No.1 album 'Some Cities', 'Kingdom Of Rust' is another carefully crafted set from the Wilmslow indie trio. Brimming with atmosphere and tension, it's the quality of the songwriting here that sets Doves apart from the majority of their contemporaries. From the energetic delivery of opener 'Jetstream' to the moving and dark sound of its title track/lead single, 'Kingdom Of Rust' contains some of their most accomplished material.

Fantastic price, great album.

Their first album Some Cities is also £3.99 at HMV. If you haven't heard that CD it is phenomenal. One of my all time favourite albums.

Their first album was actually Lost Souls back in 2000 and yes this one was/is fantastic. Kingdom of Rust is a good album and at this price a bargain.

I think its the best one theyve done. There is an amazing depth to it that imho isnt present on their previous albums (although all three of these are great too)

Go to Absolute radio site and vote for Doves in the top 50 songs of the decade. They already have lots in there. Pounding and There goes the fear are number one and two!
