Doves make their long-awaited comeback with 'Kingdom Of Rust'. Arriving four years after 'Some Cities', the album is brimming with atmosphere and tension, while the quality of the songwriting here is what sets Doves apart from the majority of British guitar bands. From the energetic delivery of opener 'Jetstream' to the moving, dark sound of its title track/lead single, 'Kingdom Of Rust' is sure to please long time fans while opening up plenty more doors for the group along the way.

Give it another listen. I think it's one of those albums that will just click and you realise it's great!

The first 8 tracks make for great listening!. The title track and Winter Hill are both beautiful, Spellbound is bang on the money and Compulsion is like nothing I've heard from Doves yet it's still masterful.

This is not their best or second best album but it compares favourably with The Last Broadcast. I found Some Cities was very much immediately 'accessible' where as KOR needs more patience, it does a great deal of growing over the first 15-20 listens as did Lost Souls.

Music is dead anyway, go and get some cock soup......... Seriously I loved "There goes the Fear", but the music scene has been rubbish for about 10 years...50 years from now people will laugh at how people used to buy albums records etc, most of it is very samey and has been since 1960s
