Posted previously by shadow1 at £6.00 a bottle (down from £12.99), but popped in yesterday to see it even better at two bottles for a tenner (Putney store). Cant do better than a fiver a bottle for a quality Port.
Dow's owns two of the Douro Valley's finest vineyards, Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira and Quinta do Bomfim. These were acquired in 1890 and 1896, making Dow's one of the first Houses to invest in premium vineyards. Dow's Trademark is drawn from the company's stock of best Reserve Port wines. This deep purple-black Port has rich mouth-filling flavours of ripe fruit balanced with a hint of black chocolate and peppery spice. This wine has been blended by Peter Symington who has over 40 years of experience in making great Port wines.
