Hope this helps someone.............

With some long saved pocket money, my young'un picked up a few PS2 games at Tesco Newcastle last night for £4 and under and there were a fair few others at the same price. He picked up all of these at £4:

Guitar Hero Aerosmith
Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 3
Tiger Woods 09
Star Wars Force Unleashed
Final Fantasy XII (£3)

And there were plenty more that he didn't go for.

There were lots of PC, Wii, PS3, XBOX and DS games in amongst this lot (a seperate aisle with yellow display stands, away from the usual entertainment dept) as well; I'll apologise for not being right up to date on formats, but these were attracting an awful lot of attention so I'm guessing this was quite a blitz on prices in general. My lad was just happy with his PS2 haul.

I noticed Burnout 3 for the PSP at £4, and from the DVD's the first 3 Rocky films were all £3 each. There were a lot of kids ladybird books at a pound a throw as well.

This prices aren't reflected on the website so it might be worth getting along to your local branch, hope you grab a bargain!

Hot, but I guess is for the local Tesco only. I will check mine tomorrow anyway.
Hot, but mainly because your pic is alan partridge, LEGEND!!! I love that guy!
In all honesty this looked like it would have to be a big push nationally rather than locally, very similar to the one Asda pull out with the big brightly colured 'price blitz dvd's from £1' stand etc.

The Tesco we visited at Kingston park is a big 'Extra' version (aisle in question down next to the drinks if you are local) so it did'nt look to be confined to just one store.
