DP-558 PVR DVD Player with 80gb HDD - £189.99 Delivered

The DP-558 proves to be more than what is first expected from such a product. What if you could watch live television, then pause it for a while and start it again when you are ready to watch more. What if you could browse through an electronic program guide, find the desired program, press Record and the schedule for the next recording would be set. What now if you could have online services directly available from your television screen, be able to see the weather forecast or just play games..

I have an Ellion DVR-950S with a 160GB HDD.

It is very stylish and does the biz with DivX and XViD etc.

You can get it at SVP for £157.41 with your Hot UK Deals discount.

I would recommend it as an alternative.

For those wondering, this isn't a freeview PVR, just analogue.

However the KiSS DP-558 has ethernet connectivity which allows you to link to a PC which the Ellion doesnt seem to have..

Thanks for this joggerspark :)

Added the brand name to the title and the ethernet capability point ;)

The software running on Kiss machines has always impressed me and that seems to be the one thing all other manufactures get wrong with these kind of devices. If only they could put a couple of DVB-T tuners in there :(
