I have been given instructions to search out and acquire VEGAN Dr Martens. These ones my boss doesn't like the look of but they fit the bill not being leather - but they're not marked up as Vegan - so they might used mashed up animals in the glue - I've no idea.
A top (meaning low!) price, Dr Martens are notoriously expensive and these stand out as "cheap". 10% discount is given to students who mail in advance for a code so it's possible to get these for £54. Another colour available too.

It's topsy turvy - the non-leather DMs marked up as vegan cost more than the leather ones in the same style. This is why I thought these were a great deal for somebody shopping for DMs for somebody who won't wear leather.
