OMG....I totally forgot about Dr Snuggles (going to do a check on youtube now) used to watch it myself after coming back from school....wasn't it like the first program on an evening on ITVs childrens slot?

These forums fill my brain full of much neglected and not necessary information..its great...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Snuggles

Only 13 episodes ever made, can be gotten as a 4 disk set. Screened in 1979-1980, so you had to be born in the early to mid 70s to know this one.

Wowwww, I used to watch this.

#When you're in trouble, call Dr. Snuggles...#

Never heard of him. ITV may have stopped the series because it was way too ahead of its time. Noteworthy stuff about it. Douglas Adams (HHGTG) wrote 2 episodes. The professor invented an anti depression machine...

When I was a kid I grew up thinking all doctors would be like this.

Instead what did we get? Dr Shipman.

Used to watch this when I was a kid :D
Will have a look and see if I can get all episodes on dvd somewhere

I remember this and i'm 42 now!
Why does this remind me of Jamie and the Magic torch?
Did they also make that program?

This was shown at the crack of dawn originally, was repeated in the evening a few years later. Quite liked it as a kid. What I'd really love is the original animated fuzzy felt version of the Moomins on DVD :-(

The original Moomins had a DVD release, in full, both with original German audio (with subtitles) and english dubbed versions. Not cheap to buy, it is available for rental with Tesco/Lovefilm, and has a RRP of £45

LOL. When I was little my Doctor came round to give me an injection in the arm for something.
After that I couldn't move my arm for an hour and we found broken glass on the floor.

Cheers for that link, I had no idea it was available on DVD! Not all that steep a price for some classic childhood memories if you ask me ;-)
