From the makers of Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, and Baldur's Gate comes an epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal. The survival of humanity rests in the hands of those chosen by fate. You are a Grey Warden, one of the last of an ancient order of guardians who have defended the lands throughout the centuries. Betrayed by a trusted General in a critical battle, you must hunt down the traitor and bring him to justice.

As you fight your way towards the final confrontation with an evil nemesis, you will face monstrous foes and engage in epic quests to unite the disparate peoples of a world at war. A romance with a seductive shape-shifter may hold the key to victory, or she may be a dangerous diversion from the heart of your mission. To be a leader, you must make ruthless decisions and be willing to sacrifice your friends and loved ones for the greater good of mankind.

Anyone played this? what are your thoughts on it? Any good?

I loved Mass Effect 1 & 2 - and bought it on the back of those two games and although its different, its still has an air of those games.

Personally, I think its great, I am about 40 hours in and according to the stats about 50% of the way in!

Same here, I keep resisting a purchase. Still only managed one sitting of Mass Effect 2 since launch (amongst others!)

I could have bought the PC version for £5.49 at the weekend but decided it would annoy me more knowing it's there waiting to be played :p

Its quite easily one of the best RPG games ever made, took me about 80 hours to finish with 80% of the side quests done. Alot of replay value if you enjoyed it also. It's basically a successor to the ye old' baldurs gate series.

Foolish not to buy at this price!

I have just completed this one, I did the main story and a good bit of side quests in around 60 hours of actual saved play, not to mention a fair few reloads!. Its a bit like Morrowind / Oblivion for depth, but crossed with a large party that will like or dislike your actions, as in Knights of the Old Republic.

I found it hard to get into at first, but I soon became a fan, I played the game as Mr Nice guy and have just started again to play it as a bad guy, but I not completely sure that I will manage another 60 hours given that I know whats coming.

Great game for the money and a ton of different starts and outcomes dependant on decisions and race, and all fully voiced characters.

Would love this game but got way too many to play at the moment. Heat added.

I purchased this game at chrimbo for £17.95 from Zavvi (a stonking deal at the time)...and still haven't played it.
Too wrapped in Demon's Souls (US Version)....UK version is out of the end of the month and yes I have my order in (how sad is that?)

i didnt like it.

your character doesnt speak - i never really built up a rapport with him. it feels like the whole thing hasnt really moved on since neverwinter nights.

oh - and i was angry that everyone said this was a tribute to baldurs gate yet there was NO multiplayer!?!?!

It's Bioware. I can't remember the last time they made a bad game IMO. I wanna buy this but seem to be suffering the same problem as a lot of other members.... too many damn games atm.

Voted hot, regardless.

The main character speaks during combat. But I know what you mean.

I liked it - decent plot, great voice acting and combat is straightforward.

There are a lot of fiddly bits that don't necessarily work that well e.g. trap-making, stealing and so on. Also you only have 6 slots for abilities so you have to pause the game to activate a lot of them especially later on.

At £13 this is a no-brainer even if you don't play it immediately. I am stuck on the last bit though - I think I am going to end up lowering the difficulty just to get thru it but must resist!

Hot, hot!

Drag the right hand end of the abilities bar to the right :)

And yes its a pretty decent game with a fair amount of downloadable content.
