Historical low for this fairly-recently-released PC version of the rough-and-ready console game. Hire limited-vocabulary pawns as you explore a world on foot on a perilous adventure, fighting gigantic monsters and looting ever-more-powerful gear. And just when you think the adventure ends, that's when it really begins...

I've already got this on 360, so I'll be passing (until it's a fiver), but the PC version is apparently oodles better thanks to finally fixing that frame-rate, along with the usual PC bonuses. But they're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

Edit: thanks to Lukester, who adds:

"Also you can get a further 5% of the price, if you join there uncut steam group"

Takes a little bit of time to get into the system, the menu system is a tad confusing, but ultimately a great game

Brilliant game, amazing story. A must buy on PC even if you've played it before.

Outside the combat, it's really only a very serviceable-at-best open world RPG. That said, the combat *is* really good and it encourage you to switch up your class frequently. I'd recommend the game, but would warn people the game has a lot of rough aspects.

Just bought for £2 on PS3, why is the PC version must buy?

It runs like butt on the PS3. That's never nice, but it's made all the worse that it's a very action-combat orientated game. I also bought it used on PS3 for cheap a couple years ago and I just couldn't do it. Got 30 minutes in or so and stopped cuz it felt awful. Being able to play it in 60fps just makes a world of a difference.

You also aren't straddled by black bars on the PC version.

Got it on PS-Plus and couldn't get on with it, too many performance issues. But the PC version intrigues me because it is so highly praised on consoles, but we have better RPGs now don't we.

Hard to compare this with new games such as The Witcher 3 or Bloodborne, this game does stand on its own. I finished it twice back to back on the 360 and I could have gone a 3rd time lol
