THANKS clondikemike! My son needs this and I didn't see the price from 2 and half years or 6 weeks ago so thanks for reminding us.
#5
Hot - good price and decent brand. Always uesful to have.

Unfortunately I don't have a time machine yet so I can't go back 2 1/2 years ago to buy it then to save 98p ...
#6
Only problem with this is most cars on the road now don't use imperial fixings so half the kit will never be used.

Hot if you need it and missed the deal 6 weeks ago:roll:

How can it be the same when the Wickes one is Wickes branded?? and this is a Draper Set? like saying a cheap chinese ipod clone is the same as an Apple Ipod (but as it looks the same it must be the same)

Draper Value is rebadged Chinese imports, it is the same as the Wickes set just different coloured handles but made by the same people.

Draper Professional is better kit but allot more expensive, still imported chinese stuff just better quality

Is the same just rebadged, Draper is not the quality company from years ago, now rebadge cheap china imports, imperial sizes included for the american market not old classic cars.

I've had this set for a couple of years and it's done me really well for car and bike. I'd say this is a snip.
#21
Thanks OP, been after a set like this ever since some git nicked all my tools.

To all the posters who are knocking these, do your sooped-up Corsa's really need expensive tools? :whistling:

haha i actually own a corsa and must agree with this comment, so much so that i voted cold... i bought this exact same set, branded wickes, for about £3.60... this was on hukd about a week ago... since then i have used it to install central locking, speakers, amp, sub...

i reckon the wickes offer is much better... the wire cutter alone is worth more then £3.60 if bought seperately....
#23
i got one of these last year. a bloody nuisance - the tools & bits dont sit securely and they get easily jumbled. open it and the bits fall out. when i use it i spend half the time regretting i bought it, despite the fact it was cheap.

Seconded. Plus it looks identical and a better colour choice!
#25
I bought the Wickes set and you can't argue for what it has included for £4, but if you want a serious set of tools for working on your car, you need to look elsewhere. The tools in this box will do for the odd easy job, but they're not up to serious punishment or precision tasks.

It's the same kit.

Wickes had a number of their automotive parts own branded (which they prefer) rather than Draper branded. When stocks of own branded goods were not available, they would sometimes sell Draper branded goods. (e.g. look at their battery chargeres they are also clearing. Wickes branded, but identical to the Draper ones. Some stores even have the Draper ones mixed with the Wickes branded ones)

Original price of Wickes toolkit was also £14.99 (prior to VAT reduction), then it was halved and now they are clearing them at half that price.
#27
Never was it worth £45.59! You cant base the hotness on the fact its now almost £30 cheaper than RRP as thats just bull lol £15 is about right value for that pile of rubbish. in which case isn't really a hot deal.

what a handy lil kit its great !! this will help him to start doing some DIY haha

Draper import products for UK brands like Wickes and Homebase, rebranded for these stores.
They are imported, but all their products are specially developed for the company.
