So its not valid 4 days of the week!

Not worth it with those restrictions! What next? They tell what coloured underpants you must wear?

There's a Thomas Land?!
#7
shame about the restrictions. Yep, a Thomas Land. Have 3 and 5 year old boys and they love it. Great for kids!

Restrictions are only for bank holiday weekends, other weekends are fine, we have rung and checked.

Its Birmingham, you can get train to Birmingham, swap and go to Tamworth and then get a taxi about 2 mile to Drayton Mannor, although I am sure their will be a bus or something from Birmingham central.

personally though, you would have to set off pretty early to make it worth while or stay over at premier inn as its only open till 5, a better day out is get express train London to Manchester, then the train to Blackpool, about 3 hours in total, book a cheap B&B and go the Pleasure beach, they opening Nickelodeon land this spring for the kids.

in fact even with this offer on I bet the Blackpool trip would be cheaper overall, in fact you can go the piers or arcades and not bother with the theme park for a decent day out, well for the kids anyhoo.

Drayton Manor is absolutely rubbish (in my opinion)Its great for young toddlers but my kids are 5 and 6 and were clearly too big for the rides in Thomas Land, although too small for the bigger rides so in all they couldnt actually go on anything, for instance the log flume and the pirate ship thing which Towers let the kids on no problem. Also there isnt really any decent rides compared to Towers.Maelstrom ride is that old and rusty looking its always broke down,4D cinema seems only ever to be in 2D because of technical problems etc.. In all i'd pay the extra and have a great day out at Towers,And the food outlets are rubbish too

Well they need to re word them.
I dont get this place, this is the first time I have seem an vouchers for it. I refuse to pay full price when you can usually go to Alton Towers or Thorpe Park BOGOF. Its is no where near as good as either of the other parks

Good deal. They did have discounted entry for February half term as main park not open - just Thomasland and zoo. You can buy entry token with £11 of tesco vouchers too

Thanks a lot for answering my question. So blackpool trip will be better then. Last time I check with National coach it will take nearly 8 hr just to go there? Are train tickets super expensive? I had bad experience with Alton Tower. Left at park closing time. Missed the shuttle bus back to town centre. Ended up paying a fortune to Virgin Train back to London. Any tips for cheap train ticket to blackpool will be really appreciated.

For those with little ones, Thomas Land really is a great day out. I took my two boys aged 2 and 4 at the time and they had the best day ever. We spent the whole day at just the Thomas Land part of the park, so can not comment on the rest of the park. We saved up our Clubcard vouchers and all got in for free, as the price was steep for us no matter how good it was. At the end of the day, it is only 1 day.

went yesterday, very quiet, but not a whole lot to do.

some of the older, crappier rides ended up being quite fun, but not all that much in the way of rollercoasters and we'd been on everything within a couple of hours with not much desire to go back on a whole lot. oh yeah, and the black revolver was closed with no notice till you get to it and find it's now boarded up :(

alton towers is way, way better, we'd have gone there, but went not too long ago.
