Dream Theater - Awake @ Play - £2.99
Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons @ Play - £2.99
Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity @ Play - £2.99
Dream Theater - Images and Words @ Play - £2.99
Dream Theater - Live at the Marquee @ Play - £2.99
Dream Theater - Live Scenes From New York (3CD Box Set) @ Play - £3.99

The majority of these are out of stock. The pages say 3 - 5 days and when you go to checkout they appear as out of stock. Cracking price for them though and you'll eventually get them.

The rest of these are from various other places but some of them are still bargains as they are often a lot more expensive.

Dream Theater - Score (3CD) @ The Hut - £5.00
Dream Theater - Once in a Livetime @ The Hut - £5.00

The albums I've missed out are the ones that you can usually get cheap (~£5) most of the time.

See the first post for links.

Very jealous, I couldn't get this year and missed out on the warm up gig in Leeds. Hoping to catch them on the new album tour.

I didn't see them at Download put people who I know said they were slightly disappointed when comparing it to when we saw them at Wembley Arena.

Cracking price for some good music, voting this one hot.

I think they are a great band, but you'd probably enjoy them more if you appreciate their guitar work.

There are a good selection of DT albums on Spotify actually, so a great place to start to see which album you like.

You could get Greatest Hit at The Hut for £5.

As for studio albums, I'd say the most accessible one has to be Images and Words and it's one of the £2.99 ones. If you into the more heavier stuff over the prog. Train of Thought or Systematic Chaos are always a good choice but are a little more. The best value for money would have to Images and Words imo. You won't go wrong with any of them though. :)

Spotify is your friend for checking out bands before you buy. Myspace always has a selection of tracks too.

One of my all time favorite live albums has to be Dream Theater - Live Scenes From New York. Contains all of Scenes from a Memory as well as just about their best stuff. At £3.99 for 3 hours of music has got to make it unbeatable value too.

DT where never quite the same after Kevin Moore left IMHO,but if anyones looking for a place to start with DT or Prog rock/metal then Images and words is where its at,it was composed at a time of great struggle for the band having just lost there first record deal and being without a vocalist they really pulled out all the stops and rose up to the challange of getting a new deal,i meet & saw them on there first I&W tour of the UK at the old JB's in dudley and to this day its the best gig ive ever been to,ive seen them a few times since both with derek and jordan on keys but its never been quite the same as when i saw them durning the Kevin Moore years

+1 "Images and Words". Great band, Great album. Songs like 'Pull Me Under' and 'Another Day' make the History. Then check out 'Symphony X - 2002 - The Odyssey' and 'Starbreaker - 2005 - Starbreaker'.
By the way the new Dream Theater's album 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings' is out and is great too.
