Dream Theater CDs from £3.49 @ Play

I'll admit that some of these CDs aren't as good a deal as when I got most of their discography when they were £2.99 each, but back then there were so many CDs that weren't included in the sale.

Well it appears that now some are, creating quite a bargain for Prog Metal (or whatever you honestly want to call them ¬_¬) fans.

The most notable ones being Octiverium (or however it's spelt) which is rarely priced under £5 http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/653652/Octavarium/Product.html

Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (which is a 2 CD package) and regularly retails at about £6+ http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/148764/Six-Degrees-Of-Inner-Turbulence/Product.html

Train of Thought (which is also surprisingly priced most of the time) http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/148774/Train-Of-Thought/Product.html

There are a few others in the sale which aren't as good a deal, like Awake, Images & Words and Falling into Infinity. Great albums but have been cheaper before.

Happy listening :P

This should fill in some holes in my collection. :) Never seen those three so cheap before, especially Six Degrees.

Nice deal.

The others are a not bad price, although like you said they were £2.99 a couple of months ago (I bought a stack back then also ;) ).

John Petrucci is one of the most naturally gifted guitarists on the planet

Most of the metal in this sale that was £2.99 previously has gone up to £3.49. No one should buy any of it out of principle. Especially as it's all but guaranteed to go back down again.

And personally, I've seen nothing that wasn't there before... apart from a bunch of stuff at full price...

If you go by that analogy, nobody should ever buy a playstation 3 for more than £199 cos that's how much whsmith had them up for once.

But that was the point I was making, some of these CDs have never been this cheap.

Others have been cheaper, but that's life.

No, you said nobody should buy these out of principle cos some 'used' to be £2.99 which means nobody should buy a playstation 3 for any more than £199 just out of principle...its not really how things work..people can't reverse time so if these cd's are cheaper than elsewhere then its a good deal.
