Personally I think it's one of the great films of modern American cinema (unless you're expecting Fast and Furious 6 - although what film can't be improved with a bit of Dwayne Johnson?)

Stunning movie - You must have been watching a different movie
Can not recommend enough.
Agreed, one of the most atmospheric moody films I've seen . Gosling is superb ,too.
I vote Senna! It's amazing because it's all real footage!
For a film called Drive it strangely lacks driving (of any interest) which is a shame. It also takes a while to kick in and reach some sort of action.
But it is a very stylish film with a great soundtrack.

There was originally a lot more dialogue in the film but Gosling and Mulligan chose to remove most of it to create those atmospheric scenes.

An American woman actually tried to sue the film company for false advertising saying that they sold it like a F&F film.
Purchase immediately.
I guess some people missed the point moaning about the "awkward silence parts"! Stick to Crank and Transporter!

Totally agree, anybody who thinks it is overrated just does not understand it! Each to there own but I feel sorry for anybody who cannot appreciate this masterpiece, the most watched film by me ever!
