what a shame its an awful, horrible, broken excuse for a "game"

what a shame your completely misguided . Problems are long since solved leaving behind only imo the best racer so far this generation. An absolute steal at anything under £30.

How broken is this? I really want to buy it but part of me says f*#k this game! We all should have had it for free over a year ago on the ps4 release day!
#5
Apparently it's pretty damn good now! The weather effects look absolutely amazing.

The game is still a lifeless, miserable bore.

No amount of fancy weather effects can fix that.

Just paid £29 on amazon on Monday. should of waited

Its all horses for courses ,I don't get on with the open world racers and couldn't get on with Burnout Paradise but plenty people loved that ,I'm mature enough to realise that not everyone is the same as me. (thank god for that!)

Contact Amazon customer services - they will reimburse you the difference as it wasn't long ago you purchased it from them. (Aslong as it was not from a 3rd party seller).

You read about the issues at launch and did zero research to back up your comment about the existing state of the game. The game now is a perfect racer. No fancy tweaking or the pointless need for 1000 cars, just straight to it racing. The graphics are amazing and the online works as well (now) as any online game I have encountered (which I find to be hit and miss on most online games depending on when you try it out. Obviously today, we're going to see a bit of a strain on the servers as thousands of new players all come online. Will be interesting to see how people have found it today actually. If it copes with today, then I think you can hope for the PS Plus edition to release soon.

Agreed on the game but the PS Network is offline yet again. Hacking or capacity problems I don't really care, they just need to be sorted.

it's maintenance the majority of the time! plus it's Christmas! Quit being a pedantic douche!

Its lizard squad messing things up... Both Xbox and psn down. Could be capacity but had a feeling they'd hit it today! Not both though.... Gonna give Driveclub another go but can't think it will beat Forza Horizon 2 its stunning

Dreadful game. Been trying to find some fun in it in the past few days and there really isn't any. Pretty screenshots do not make for an enjoyable racer. So lifeless.

They can't cope. You dont carry out maintaince on Christmas day. How is asking for what I pay for being pedantic. By the looks of it there had a number of attacks today. They are useless at dealing with cyber issues.

Majority will be new anyway and assuming you can go in the store and not catch aids, check the disc and swap if your not happy, there will be plenty available.

Just ordered earlier today, took them about 3 hours to send me an offer. I used 100 points to get priority to get offer in under 10 hours.

Once you get to grips with the game's handling model it great. The game has a real sense of speed, looks stunning and if you can get into a good lobby makes for some great competitive racing

Anyone who actually has an interest in gimmick free racing will love this :)

Ignore everyone who is trying to get on the hate wagon.. They are talking out their rear.

Thats the one thing that concerns me, getting into a lobby with players. Read a review basically saying online is dead. Doesnt make sense since its one way to race with the weather effects and the single player campaign is well, dull.

Is it? I looks pretty good from what I've seen...

Still holding out for the ps plus edition before I lay down my cash for the full one though :-)

If you mean graphically, then Driveclub runs rings around FH2, two totally different games and engines with what they need to do giving DC the edge when it comes to what it can do.

What a shame that utter rubbish. One of the best racing games I've played as good as grid.Worth every penny.Hope they release some more tracks and cars.

Got this yesterday from CEX, execellent game, loving it.
#33
This is a brilliant game. The handling is more arcade than sim. Very suspicious of the naysayers, probably have ulterior motives.

If anything should be said about this game it's the awful rubber banding from the AI, it's almost painful how impossible it seems to be to catch up with other cars, if you make a small error or the AI rams you.

Is dead? Maybe that review was made while the game was riddled with server issues. Online now works like a dream (honestly) and the game will generally put you into a full online lobby.

I can't however deny that the single player is dull and is probably worth avoiding.

This game is absolutely glorious. Its a shame the reptilians hacked PSN and Xbox Live today though.

CEX have sealed copies going for £20, no doubt all the recent bundles traded in.

There is no rubber banding. They've confirmed that. The AI cannot drive faster than is possible. Should come as no surprise that if you make a mistake someone is up your back end.

You're probably used to easy games where you can get five minutes ahead. And actually you can get ahead depending on your skill and difficulty level, I have lapped AI drivers for example.

Agreed, no rubber banding here. Play well and you can pull out a good lead, make mistakes and they catch up. Make mistakes and you can still catch up and win if you drive well enough.
