think you still have to go into the store and 'purchase' some of the free DLC, it doesn't all appear as updates.

Oh ok, thanks, will check it all out later on! Was fortunate to have purchased a PS4 during the mad frenzy last week X)

It needed some serious fixing up! I never played it when it launched, but it's fantastic now. I have the Bikes DLC and the Season Pass too.

AWESOME Game! Cannot recommend enough

Is it arcadey? this gens been lacking a decent Arcade racer so far
#15
And if you are new to Grainger, you get a 10% code (lasts a week) to use on next order, so could then perhaps order the other offers they have on, for example Star Wars Battlefront and Tom Clancy's The Division, making them £8.99 and £11.69 respectively.

Code only good for used games, so no good for FIFA17 for example.

any racing games that are split screen on ps4 ?

Best racer out there on PS4. Incredible game. At £6.99 this is a must buy. Get the bikes expansion too while you're at it, totally worth it

Not as arcade as need for speed but not as sim-like as project cars.
Somewhere in the middle but I'd say it was slightly more sim like than arcadey....

I loved it though and bought the season pass which is well worth the investment if you get it on a sale.

Not to mention a truck-load of trophies in the DLCs which are all fairly achievable with practice.

Bought the game when it was bundled with the Season Pass on the PS Store for £7.99 a while back and thought it was well worth it. Certainly good value under a tenner

My kids are 5 and 7 - is this too difficult for them?

Even without the season pass, you're getting plenty of content for your money!

Working my way through the DLC packs now, picked up the complete package on PSN for £7~ a few months ago.

This is how you handle paid DLC, developers. High-quantity yet still high-quality.

It's a wonderful game; if they had been given an extra 6 months to polish it would have swept up numerous awards. Sadly it launched before it was ready and it pretty much killed it off before it got out of the blocks.

Worth every penny, as is the DLC.

Absolutely, legal age for required license is 17.

Seen cheaper as digital download straight from PS store, would wait if you really wanted but fairly bad game so highly advise not to buy; cold.

Yes, the controls are fairly difficult. Most driving games are inappropriate for under 12, I'd say

Yeah its a serious racer, not much room for error.

Just to echo over comments the game was a mess at launch but over time they made it a great game. Strongly recommend the season pass as well, vastly expands the single player experience and adds a lot more variety and supports stuff they added later like the weather effects.

After reading the comments on here i have gone for this.

It got terrible reviews, much like Rory Mcilroy golf but that is far better due to more polish.

Hoping for something along those lines, heat added.

Was looking at this in Cex (£8 there) recently and nearly bought it. Wish I had having seen these comments.

£7 in store if people can't wait. Just got a PS4 so is it worth a try?
#33
Seems a good price. Tempted but was just too arcadey last time i tried it.

Once you unlock the faster cars, you'll find that their handling feels a lot less arcadey than the slower cars that you start off with. There's also a 'hardcore' mode if you want an even less arcadey experience.

I've been playing sim racers almost exclusively since GT1, but I I began to enjoy Driveclub's handling model after a week or two of playing.

Much more. You can't even modify your car. Its a crap game and I don't know why people are raving about it.

Seriously. I bet you don't even have a PS4.

It's much more fun than the last GT, which has become very stale. The game is nothing like the original release day reviews, it is like night and day. Hands down the best looking racer on the PS4. You won't believe the weather effects.

Thanks OP :) I was holding out to get the VR one, but at this price there's no harm getting both :)
