Fantastic deal, I was prepared to pay £35 and was waiting for the pre order to go live so I'm pleased with this.

So I buy driveclub and season pass bundle tonight I can upgrade to VR for 15.99, where's the info for this?

I wish they gave us notice about this. I stopped playing DC when I knew a VR update would happen and so never got to the point of needing the season pass.

Yes! Really happy about this.

I think it's too late for us now as the description mentions before 00:00 AM BST on Thursday 29th September, which is today. You wouldn't need the game, just the season pass before that time (yesterday at the latest) for this. Got it from the Blog post which was just posted today

Same here. I did consider getting the season pass not long ago but figured the discount may not be a big difference and thought of going for a physical copy. Kinda wish I went for the season pass now from the sale

**** it works ! Great find I appreciate it !

I guess it was stupid of me to think this would of been free for anyone who owns Driveclub already.
#11
so this will be the complete full game all cars / tracks etc but playable in vr?

Unfortunately, it'd be simply mad to give it away for free to the owners of the current game. The sales from the first game would've gone to paying for that to be developed. Meanwhile, the developers have been working on the VR game for absolutely ages and understandably need to make money back somehow for that too.
#13
So is this valid now or was the cut off last night?

Appears to have cut off last night. Only just discovered the sale for the season pass had ended yesterday too so it's back up to £9.99. :(

Did it take them ages? Also didn't the developers get axed by Sony?

this looked great on the demo I saw, do he graphics take a hit in vr though ? they are amazing in game I'd of thought it would struggle to cope from the other demos I've seen

I mean do I need to already have the season pass, or could I buy it right now and then upgrade to the VR version?

DRIVECLUB™ VR is packed with the best bits from the hit PlayStation®4 game, along with selected packs from the extensive DLC collection – as well as new and totally bespoke VR modes and features.

I was so sure I owned the season pass for this.... apparently I don't. Very sly of them to block you from buying the season pass now but I understand the loyalty side of it.... give those that had the season pass already a special offer

Great deal and deservedly so for those who'd bought the game and season pass previously. Gutted personally as I bought the game last month when I got my steering wheel in readiness for the VR version and have been enjoying it but never thought about investing in the season pass. Still worth £34.99 for the full VR version though.

sorry to ask, I know I can look it up, but can someone succinctly explain what on earth a season pass is?

It's like buying all the dlc in a package rather than buying them separately. Sometimes even get to play things first (for example, the Star Wars Battlefront season pass holders can play the new expansions before it gets sold separately for people that didn't buy the season pass).

Not that long since Sony closed the original studio 6 months ago and gave it to another studio

normally yes, but the Driveclub season pass is/was widely acknowledged to be considered the best value for money a season pass has ever offered, it was £19.99 for a monthly update of cars and challenges for a whole year.

Not true, Ex Evolution continued work on this game even after Sony shut the studio

Anyone know if this will have trophies as an 'add-on' to the main game or have its own Platinum trophy? - Could be the first game to include 3 Platinum trophies?!

Took me months of play to get the main Driveclub Platinum, had so much fun doing it and I'm about half way through Driveclub Bikes.

I would assume it will take the role of a new game, the Driveclub game maxed out the allowance of trophies with all it's DLC (first game to do it), they then had to add the car DLC trophies in to the Driveclub Bikes expansion which had its own trophy set

(Finish Line and No Limits were car expansions)

Hey man, thanks for that.
Just got mine last night, I was going to buy that game as my first vr game anyway.
#36
With owning the season pass, i couldn't of seen my self paying £35, but at £15.99 this price is much better! Thanks op!
#37
Not great if you don't already own the season pass obviously.

I imagine there'll be a release with all the content together including vr for £40ish so maybe best waiting for that if you don't have any of the other content already like myself...
