Pre-reg Corsa 1.0s £6,975.00 @ drivevauxhall

First post I was looking for a new Astra and noticed this deal on a pre registered Corsa, I know it is the 'old' model but less than £7000 for a brand new, 100,000 mile warranted car must be a good d…

Still states on Vauxhall website that it is eligible for 100k miles warranty
From small print:
Vauxhall 100,000 Lifetime Warranty covers lifetime ownership of first car owner, 100,000 mile limit, annual check required.
"lifetime ownership of first car owner" - these are pre reg so you will be the second owner

Back when Vauxhall was still running the lifetime warranty it covered pre-reg cars that had under 200 miles on the clock.

That's the dealer website, not Vauxhall's website.

It's common knowledge that the 'lifetime' warranty has been ditched and was reported in the press.

I've spoke to my local dealer a few times about it as I currently have a car that's under the 'lifetime' warranty since September 2010.

Voted hot, but never worth £11,000
I personally no of no one who has ever paid rrp or pre discounted price for a car.

Depends on the car, your general run of the mill stuff, discounts all round. Something special with a waiting list and discounts will be scarce. To name a few Envoques, Mini Roadsters, Abrath 500s when they we first released discounts were rare.

Also Dacia who don't discount their cars. (supposedly)

That's the 5 year 0% finance price ;)

Partner had a 1.4 SXI version of these and that felt very slow. Car felt very heavy and generally not a car you can enjoy driving. That 1.0 must be unbearable for anyone not living on flat land. Adding air on to that engine would add 10+ seconds to the 0-60 and be a hazard to other road users lol.

Air Conditioning Special Offer + health check £19.99 @ drivevauxhall

During the summer months, you’ll want your air conditioning to work at it’s refreshing best. Harmful bacteria can build up in the air conditioning system over the winter months, due to lack of use. Th…

Mercedes dealer quoted £59 for the same service, have tried the DIY option it is ok for a few weeks but done properly it lasts for 6+ months.

All depends on how much you value your car and health, the amount of bugs and diseases in the air con system are a worrying thought.
Would it not be preventative to run the aircon just a few minutes every month throughout winter to stop the buildup of the 'harmful bacteria'?
You wouldn't just get your a/c re-gassed/topped up.They cant just top it up and away you go.If your a/c has a leak they would have to find the leak, test it and then recharge the system. You wont get that for £19.99.Just saying
i think halfords do it all atm for £50
I don't see re-gassing the system in the offer, just a cleanse. Having said that, I have not found over the counter products to be particularly effective at eliminating air con odours for any length of time. Had a dealer treat my previous car with the manufacturers recommended cleanser and it cleared all odours for the rest of the time i owned the car, nearly 2 years. Maybe a better bet pay £20 and get a long term solution than £6 for short term one. Alternatively try driving around with the heat set to maximum, maybe an option now the weather has cooled off.

Are you seriously implying that a Daewoo 'Death Trap' Matiz 03 is a better car than a Corsa 11?
I had one of these as a courtesy car for two days last week it is the worst car i have ever driven 56 mpg i'm not suprised you put your foot down & nothing happens i was on the local ring road i got over 50 mph and the drive was awfull not a safe car to drive over 50, i had 2 near misses in 2 days going onto roudabouts off slip roads in 3rd gear slow down a touch theres a car but were ok onto roundabout foot down nothing there i had too change down i automaticly thought i was in my car which would have shot it's a daewoo matiz 03 so if you're reading this buy a chevvy spark 1,000 cc so much better

Are these the old shape?
The text suggests it is the revised new model.

The 0% finance deal is funny.
Either pay a reduced cash price or a higher 0% finance price.
Would love to have that out with a sales guy.
Are these the old shape?
I would think it would be genuine, considering you were getting the astra 1.6VVti for £9995 on the road, albeit a previous unregistered model.
